Big mountain walls are just like the rest of us—no matter how tough of an exterior they put out, they just want to be loved. Keep epic routes approachable in the Arc'teryx Konseal FL GTX Approach Shoe. Designed with Gore Invisible Fit technology, this shoe gives you a seamlessly integrated membrane for waterproof and breathable protection, providing everyday insurance against inclement weather. In the outsole you've got Vibram Megagrip rubber for the same reason, delivering high performance traction on dusty trails and slippery rocks alike. The outsole lug pattern gives you added toe grip for steep approaches, as well as easier braking and stability for long downhills. The Konseal's minimalist upper affords little room for rocks and other trail debris to sneak in, while raised midsole perimeter sidewalls help give you added stability in variable terrain.

My second pair. Sticky rubber, no blisters, durable, breathable. Best approach shoe I have ever had

Great and waterproof. Always walk through puddles with them on. Rubber on the bottom is phenomenal. Only downside is the laces are very thin, so it sacrifices durability.

Took these as my only shoes for a camping / climbing trip and they handled 24 miles of rocky, muddy, wet, and snowy terrain in an overnight trip to the enchantments. They stayed dry despite postholing and maintained great grip on 5.7 granite slab and 5.6 cracks.

I primarily use approach shoes as my every day as well as my trail shoes. These have been my primary shoes this winter mainly because they are waterproof. The fit on these guys are great and they do a really good job at keeping your feet dry unless you post hole. I have a narrow low volume foot so the profile of these guys matches the shape of my foot well. But there is still plenty of lacing to expand them out for a little wider or higher arch foot. If you live in an area with soupy trails or need a waterproof pair of shoes to kick around during the winter these guys are a great option.

These shoes are the best shoes I have owned. They do everything as promised! I live In North Dakota with freezing sleet, snow, rain and these shoes have been amazing at handling the water and melting snow. They do take a little breaking in but overall these shoes rock! Typical Arc'teryx quality and pricing but I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy another pair!
