As part of Aqua-Bound's carbon touring lineup, the 2-piece Sting Ray Carbon Paddle is very lightweight, stiff, and efficient, perfect for kayakers who would like to reduce muscle fatigue and joint stress or go on long, multi-day tours. The Sting Ray's abX blade is made of carbon-reinforced nylon resin, which is stronger, stiffer, and lighter than its fiberglass-reinforced counterparts.

The Sting Ray blade shape itself is Aqua-Bound's most popular, allowing for responsive paddling in slow-moving water and all-around efficiency. With the Sting Ray Carbon Paddle, you'll be traveling first class, getting maximum efficiency out of your boat and out of yourself while propelling it forward.

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a very lightweight and durable paddle. I've had to have some pretty heavy-duty surgery on my right shoulder and probably need to have it on my left shoulder so I need a paddle that gives me the most bang for my buck and is it lightweight as possible, this particular paddle more than lives up to my needs. Super lightweight and rigid and, with the posi lock, it is quick to assemble and adjust to the angle you prefer to use when paddling. I would highly recommend this paddle to anyone that is looking to upgrade from a basic paddle. I went with the 250 cm in length and it is perfect for me. The additional length over the stock paddle that I had helps to avoid all of that annoying banging and clanking on the side of the kayak as you are paddling. We do quite a bit of kayaking in lakes, ponds and slow-moving rivers and I have also taken this paddle out and used it in some Rapids and it is more than up to the task.

This paddle does exactly what you expect it to! This is incredibly lightweight and after a few hours of paddling, I see a noticeable difference from my last paddle. You won't regret this purchase!

Im new to kayaking and after one day of using an aluminum paddle, I knew I needed something better. Did some research and Decided on this one. it's beyond light, easy on the hands and is simple to break down. Im a fairly large guy and paddle pretty hard, as far as i can tell, the shaft is very solid, no bending or wiggling. I mainly kayak on the shallow/rocky rivers in the Texas Hill Country, so the blades get their their share of dings and scrapes, but nothing major at all from what I've put it through thus far. this thing can get you moving quick and in a hurry too. I highly suggest it as an introductory paddle, especially at this price. I'm 6' tall, my boat is 24" wide so I got a 230 cm.
