The paddle arrived broken/defective. The push button doesn't work. I'm pretty disappointed in Aqua Bound and in Backcountry, although they did give me a minor discount. Instead of having a working paddle, I have a problem I need to solve!

Bought two of these at the beginning of the summer for our recreational kayaks based on the reviews here. They've worked out great so far. I felt like we got a good value for them. The two piece design is great for transportation and storage.

I'm a novice kayaker but the Aqua-Bound Manta Ray Aluminum Paddle feels like a solid product for the price. I like that this paddle separates into two pieces, pairing well with my Oru Kayak!

This is a great all around paddle for the casual paddler. I have an Emotion Temptation sit on top and this paddle works perfectly for flat and bouncing water. It is rugged yet still lightweight and very effective for moving water. It breaks down easily for storage or totage. I heartily recommend the paddle over much more expensive ones and Backcountry consistently has the best price on this item.

We have a tandem touring kayak with rudder. I bough this paddle to replace one of the original (identical) paddle that broke in the joint of the two pieces. I love the paddle, I just hope this one will last a little longer.

Love these paddles, super easy to use. I don't feel them flex even though they are 2 piece, durable, pretty lightweight, exactly what I needed!

Great first paddle. Light, durable, and the two piece design makes it easy to transport. I could not ask for much more. A slight oval in the handle makes it easy and comfortable to grip. Also a key feature that other kayakers have commented on is the rubber disc on the handle that keep water from running down the handle.

Before buying this, I bought a generic cheap-o two piece paddle to scoot around small lakes for 45 minute bouts, but since buying a much larger touring kayak, I wanted something with a little more oomph, but didn't want to spend a small fortune right away on a carbon paddle if I didn't like it. Well let me tell you, I'll be saving up for the carbon version and making this my spare! My speed has drastically improved with less effort, and I'm able to enjoy my paddle more and stay out longer and go farther with this thing! This is durable and I just love everything about it!
