While you may hit the DH park once in a while, you don't need shin-length baggies for your every-day rides. Instead, you prefer a slimmer fit with an adequate inseam that offer the coverage you want without unneccessary bells and whistles like the Pearl Izumi Canyon Short. A proven fan-favorite within the singletrack loving ladies, the Canyon captures the perfect balance between freeride baggies and skin-tight lycra with an athletic, slim fit that moves with you as you power up steep switchbacks and weave through rooty treelines. This year we saw a slight stretch to the inseam, moving from the 8-inch of last year to 9-inches, giving a little more coverage to keep your liner shorts from peeking out underneath, while keeping things short enough that petite lady-shredders won't get swallowed whole. The included liner features Pearl's SELECT Escape 1:1 chamois for plush, but flexible comfort to keep you going on rough miles, and a wide, flexible waistband that locks into place without pinching for all-day exploration.

Great fit on the shorts, but the legs rode up making it uncomfortable to ride. Also needs more functional pockets. I returned them after one ride and bought Zoic Neveah which are AMAZING! I actually bought 2 of them.

Overall, I liked the way the shorts look, but found them to be uncomfortable. They run small. While they technically fit, I would appreciate another inch of breathing room. Also, there are scratchy tags and Velcro in the waistband that no amount of anti-chafing cream would help.

These were perfect on a 6-day bike tour in hot, humid, rainy, and muddy conditions. The liner is separate from the shell, and attaches with a loop on the liner and snap on the shell - this works well, and the loops on the liner are great to attach to your panniers if you need to dry the liner en route. Best part of this short - both pieces are ridiculously quick drying. I could take the liner off for lunch or wash it each night, and it would be dry in an hour or two - amazing for avoiding heat rash! Not a great chamois, it's just a flat pad, but it works. I am 5'4", 135, athletic build, usually wear a 6 - the size 6 fit well and the shell was nicely loose. The liner comes in S/M/L sizes - the 6 comes with a small.

One of my favorite mtb shorts. Fits well and looks great. I ride cross-country mostly, so these are the perfect length and not too baggy or too tight. (My other favorites are the Zoic Neveah 7in shorts)
