I really liked this pant, I skied in it in the backcountry in the Wasatch mountains of Utah for two seasons. They breath really well on the skin track and they even have side zips if you're working extra hard. The cuffs were durable and fit over boots well. The inner gator is removable and sometimes the zipper would work its way loose so that when you put them on the gator would catch your foot and unzip its self. A very minor annoyance. They are surprisingly good at shedding snow and keeping dry. They did fine in the backcountry but if I took them to the resort I could feel the wind cutting through them making me a little cold. Overall they are a great backcountry ski pant. I am a full time, year-round mountain guide and a member of the Ortovox North American team I received this gear to test and use.

Works fine as a ski touring pant but where these pants really shine is the apres ski activities, especially in the spring. You can shred in the morning with this high-tech garment, then really get after the yard in the afternoon. The stretch fabric feels great pushing the mower and bending down to clean out the rain gutters. The Velcro waist adjustment is perfect to cinch up when you get dehydrated from yardwork. The elastic gaiter and rubber hem helps keep grass clippings out of my work shoes. Plenty of pockets for snacks and a phone. The nylon softshell keeps these pants looking clean, even when doing a dirty job. I do wish these pants had some mesh under the vent zippers though. Neighbors are afraid of my winter legs when I need some extra venting.
