Furthering its reputation for versatility, the newest iteration of the HOKA ONE ONE is designed to take you from the trails to the black top in comfort. Fast and lightweight, the Challenger has a breathable upper with TPU toe reinforcements for the trail while the internal heel counter provides support across all terrain. With an oversized EVA midsole and HOKA's smooth-rolling early stage Meta-Rocker, the Challenger will keep you cruising over everything from rolling trails to the sidewalks and streets that surround your home. Part of what makes the Challenger so versatile is its all-terrain sole, which features 4mm lugs for exceptional traction on both dirt and pavement. These lugs are arranged closer together towards the heel for a smoother ride and spread wider at the forefoot for added grip in wet conditions.

I would have to agree with another review that these are a little big even though I ordered the same size as all of my other running shoes. However I went for a short run in them and my foot didn't slide around in them too bad (not a deal breaker at least). Overall the cushioning is great and it felt supportive. My husband says these shoes get better with time so I'm curious to see how I like them in a month or two.

Just got these last week and was super excited to try them based on everything I had read about the Hoka heal to toe transition. Out of the box they felt big, but were super light. I attributed the bigger feeling to the “meta-rocker” midsole that I wasn’t used to. So I tightened them up and went on a 3 mile trail run... No good. Too big all around including side to side. My feet slid all over the place in them even after I tightened the laces. Now I have a $120 pair of sneaks that I can’t return and can’t run in. I’m a 9.5 in all my shoes and these were more like women’s 10. My co-worker (also a size 9.5) confirmed my opinion that they fit like a 10. Super bummed since they are incredibly light and cushy feeling.

If you are running technical trails, I'd highly recommend a different brand. I was stoked when I first got these - the support was excellent and they fit perfectly right out of the box (True to size, if not size down 1/2 size because they stretch out). However, I have only had these for ~6 months, and they are already completely worn out. They have stretched out to the point of losing all stability and there is 0 tread left. Even when new, the platform is so high that it makes balanced movements like rock-hopping very difficult. They are definitely more suited to the pavement and/or flat trails.

Theses sneakers are great comfortable and have a a lot of cushion. I will buy again. It’s sneaker you should buy. They are the best sneaker I have no pain in my feet when I wear them. Great arch support.
