The next time you head for cerulean blue glacial lakes and jagged alpine peaks, wrap your feet in the Forsake Patch Hiking Boot for a springy, cushioned trek. Pioneers of the "Sneakerboot," the mountain-loving craftsmen at Forsake create their boots to feel forgiving like your favorite pair of trainers but with subtle support that doesn't feel stiff or unyielding.

You'll still find all of the features of traditional hiking boots on the Patch, including a waterproof leather upper construction and waterproof membrane liner for days when the rain won't stop. The boots also include Forsake's Peak to Pavement outsole: an arrangement of lugs that lend stability and grip on a full range of surfaces. As the hours and miles tick by, the compression EVA midsole delivers a cushy, responsive ride, while the gusseted tongue prevents errant pieces of rock and gravel from interrupting your day.

Consistently, I wear an 8.5 women's shoe. Having read conflicting reviews on this product's sizing, it was hard to know whether I should size up or order my usual size. I ordered my usual size, and I found that these shoes run small. The 8.5 did fit me, but my big toe hit the front of the shoe; they were snug even without a sock. I returned them and bought a size 9.

Despite warnings that these run large, I originally ordered my normal boot size (9) with the assumption that I would want extra room for bulkier socks. The 9 was too big even with my thickest wool socks, but the exchange process was very easy! Sized down a half size and am really loving these boots. They're good-looking, waterproof, and the sole support is surprisingly comfortable right out of the box for someone with flat feet. Highly recommend.

I ordered the cypress/grey. They look amazing the traction feels like it would be really nice. With my smart wool hiking socks on, it didn’t fit. Put regular socks on and it fit better but still about a half size too small. I have never had to buy bigger than a size 6. Very confused on most reviews saying this runs big. My are just too small. Super bummed I have to return them.

These are great boots. I absolutely love them. And for a hiking boot they are definitely on the more fashionable side. I feel like they almost mimic these super expensive designer Chloe boots. But these are functional! I hike miles a day now in this quarantine and these are amazing. I will buy again. I got the black and I’m thinking green next time. They seem true to size to me. I LOVE THEM!

I ordered a size 7 and received the size 7. It shipped quickly and arrived quickly. I do have to say that the fit in the ankle is a little wide, but other than that it is a great comfortable shoe with great traction. I live in Mammoth so it is exactly what I need for walking around town! I wore them a full day on snow one day when the lifts broke down at work and I needed to support the team and they did *eventually* soak through to my toes but that was after about five hours on snow - but they aren't a work boot per say. If I add a little bit of waterproofing to these bad boys they should be good to go for a day like that but when walking around in the snow and when its snowing they are warm, comfy and great. Sometimes the tread freezes up a tad but nothing to be concerned about.

I was very impressed by these boots. From the box and packaging to the physical boots they fit perfectly and are such a great color. I love the overall look and how they can be worn for hiking but I can also wear them to work with jeans and a t-shirt. I am an 8.5 and they fit true to size. I love them and want to get them in more colors. Highly recommend!

LOVE these boots! They are comfortable right out of the box. I am a true 8.5, however purchased an 8 after reading the reviews and I'm so glad that I did! The 8 fits perfect, even with thick, long socks. I wore them for several days on ice, snow, and wet rocks. The traction is great. They are definitely waterproof and kept my feet warm. Definitely recommend!

Just the worst. Uncomfortable, no real padding or support, slippery inside, hot (no breathability), unattractive (which wouldn't matter as much if they were comfortable, but for a crossover hiker/sneaker, isn't part of the point looking cool?). They are shaped so oddly, I don't know whose foot is shaped like the foot of a Ronald McDonald character, but I guess a lot of people like these. It's like walking in stiff clown shoes inside, and also the height of the shaft is a lot lower than it appears online, so the look is also that of clown shoes (extra long feet, short ankles, and I'm only a 7.) Just the worst. I found out I can't return them because I wore them all day once and I missed out on the 30 day return deadline (my idiocy. I didn't realize there was a time limit, but that is my bad). What a waste. Hopefully someone will want to buy these. I can't see why, but I'll do my best to find them a home.

So far these boots have held up to avalanche debris fields, insane amounts of run off and exploring ice caves. I think they’re great. They are a touch bigger than I like, but I am putting custom inserts in and that should take up most of the space. They’re also not great on wet linoleum or any wet, treated, flat surface. I will say they don’t have the grip my approach shoes do, but I wasn’t looking for that. I’d also suggest throwing some nikwax on these babies, just to up the waterproof factor.

I just returned from a 7 day trip to Iceland and I wore these boots everyday. They were super comfortable, cute, and I didn't get any blisters (only wore them a handful of times for short walks before I left). I ordered my regular size, 8, and wore the boots with Smartwool socks. They seemed a little big in the heel, but that didn't bother once I had thicker socks on. Some of our hikes were through water and my feet remained dry. To put things into perspective I walked approximately 100,000 steps and 45 miles on my trip. I would recommend these boots and would buy again.

I have been planning a trip to Iceland and Europe this summer and needed a pair of waterproof hiking boots that were versatile. I originally bought a pair of Keens and was fitted with a men's pair. I went on a hike to test them out and ended up coming home with horribly painful feet. These boots had caught my eye a while ago, but I was concerned with buying online from a brand I have never tried on in person before. I saw these were on sale and decided to just wing it. I read on one of the reviews that these shoes are a full size bigger, but Forsake adjusted their newer shoes to be accurate to size, and some of the shoes at Backcountry are still large. I wear a solid 9.5. I guessed and bought a 9 on here, and it ended up being perfect for me. They felt a little roomy without hiking socks on, but once I put the hiking socks on with them, they felt perfect. They are so much more attractive and versatile than my Keens and they feel better too. Glad I took a risk and ordered them. I still have to go on an actual hike with them, but I don't think I'll have any issues with these... I can already tell they are going to be fine.

They are nice looking hikers, but a little uncomfortable. I can't seem to get the tongue to sit right. I've walked about 5-10 miles in these, hoping that the issue will go away with use but maybe that's a fallacy.

I purchased these boots for upcoming trips involving a lot of walking/hiking. I went with other reviewers recommendations to order a full size down and went with an 8 (instead of even an 8.5 or my normal 9). Glad I did, they fit perfectly, and with enough room to wear thicker socks. I got the patch grey/cypress color and it looks really nice - a sort of muted olive color with a slightly brighter green accent, not over-the-top. I was actually surprised by the amount of support in these boots, which is really nice, and they aren’t bulky at all. They also offer just enough ankle support and seem to have pretty good traction. Still have to work on breaking them in but so far I’m very happy.

I bought these boots to be my main footwear for a 2 week tour of Germany and Austria and they worked out GREAT. I wish I would have had a little more time to break them in before leaving, but all in all-- they were durable, comfortable, warm and versatile. They took me from the city streets in Berlin to a hike through the mountains chasing waterfalls to the snowy streets in the Austrian Alps before and apres skiing. They are cute enough to be fashionable but they definitely have some grit. Highly recommended.

I ended up ordering two pairs because I found out that these shoes run about a whole size bigger after I ordered my first pair. I ordered 8.5, and received 7.5 in the box labeled with 8.5. The other pair I ordered with two day shipping arrived 10 days after I ordered. I tried to chat with at least two people at Backcountry, and wasn't offered any apology or explanation. I didn't get the shoes when I needed them because of their poor service, and wasted my time trying to sort out what they messed up. The boots do run a size bigger, but otherwise work well for short hikes in snow.

I bought these to wear on a mostly daily basis through the winter, as I can't keep my feet warm in normal shoes, even with good socks. These are the perfect sneaker-boot. They keep my feet warm and dry, but not hot and sweaty, required very little breaking in, and are super comfortable. I've worn them almost every day for the last month and am upset any day I need to dress up for work and can't wear them. They kept me dry and warm walking around the city for the weekend when it was 25 degrees and rainy/snowy. No complaints here and I would recommend them to anyone.

I'm a solid 8.5, but read that these run large, so I ordered an 8 in the Timberwolf color (which were a pale winter wheat with maroon-ish red laces). Very cool looking boot, but it was still too big even a half size smaller than my normal. I wish I would have ordered a 7.5 because even thick socks would not have helped. I only tried them on at home, but as far as I can tell then are light weight and would be comfortable for hiking and traveling. These would be good boots for traveling in the winter in Europe or going to wet and muddy places like Northern Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, etc. Too bad, these are so cute, but I wish I would have gotten the black and tan in a 7.5.

These boots are as comfortable as a good running shoe! They are light and have great cushion. I am surprised at the amount of support they have. They are well made and stylish as well! I have the black and tan ones and am very pleased with my purchase.
