These shoes had virtually no break-in period, which is new as someone who's always worn leather hiking boots. I haven't backpacked in them yet, but after two long day hikes, I'm super excited about these light weight, but sturdy shoes. I sized up a half size, which was the right move. I'm a true 7.5 with narrow feet, and the 8 works perfectly. I do most my backpacking in the fall, so I'm eager to see how they keep my feet dry and warm in Minnesota's cooler months.

The shoes are so comfortable! When I go hiking, I like to feel light on my feet and ready for anything. These shoes feel more versatile than most hiking boots I've owned. It has the high rise ankle for protection. My favorite part of this shoe is the midsole, I feel like I could walk in these boots 365 days of the year. Thanks Danner!

Just got my pair today, and I’m impressed with the color (looks exactly like the photo here) and the design. I can never find sneaker style hikers that are super light weight (these feel like nothing) and in a non stereotype color! The only thing is I’m am exchanging my 7.5 for an 8, which I’m surprised I have to do b/c I am a tried and true 7.5. But with Costco women’s seasonal wool socks they were too tight and the tongue of the shoe kinda wraps around for a “sock-like” fit around the ankles, which is great for support in this low profile shoe, but kinda tricky to get into, esp if you have high arches like I do. They are also a bit narrow, I do have slightly wider feet (I usually prefer Keens) but I like the design so much I’m determined to make’em work! The soles are awesome, they look like you could easily hike over wet rock conditions without problems (I hope they do!) I got these to take on a backpacking/volunteer medical work trip to Nepal in a few months, so I will hike around Mt Hood a few times to make sure they are Himalaya ready! I’ll try to update when I get the 8’s and have test run them.
