You could have the most expensive hardshell in the world but it won't do you any good without a proper midlayer. Burton's AK Turbine Pullover Fleece Jacket is the perfect piece to layer under your snowboard jacket, yet stylish enough to wear in the lodge during apres. The Polartec fleece keeps you toasty warm without weighing you down with added bulk, and the fabric is highly breathable and quick-drying so you won't be sitting in a cold puddle of your own sweat after you decide to power up a short bootpack. The zippered pocket on the arm is the perfect spot to stash some cash or a card so you can treat yourself to an exceptionally cheesy pile of post-shred nachos when the lifts stop spinning.

I purchased the Green Spectra color way. I have the hooded version of this top, in the same fabric but in black. And I loved it so much that I wanted to try this top too. But sadly the fit is not the same. It is just as warm, very stretchy, but it's an inch or more shorter in the length. The arms are very tight, and the cuff has stretch, but I couldn't imagine being comfortable in a size down. I love the hooded version because I can tuck it into my snow pants, and it covers my rear, adding warmth on the lift, but it also stays put. This top, I am hoping will stay tucked in, but it doesn't cover my rear. The body is also quite boxy. With that being said, this top is extremely warm! And perfect for me on those freezing cold days, when it's dumping buckets of snow and there's no way I'm not going riding, but a thermal, down insulator and gore-tex shell just isn't enough. This has been the perfect extra warmth and it performs as described. The only downside is it does harbor odor if you use it multiple days in a row.
