Fend off torrential downpours with The North Face Resolve 2 Jacket. The waterproof and breathable DryVent 2L shell fabric allows sweaty vapor to escape from within, while shrugging off heinous weather on the outside. At less than 15 ounces, this jacket packs easily without weighing you down on long treks. An interior mesh lining provides a buffer between your under layers and the outer fabric, and a hem cinch cord battens down the waist. The North Face used a fully adjustable hood to round out the Resolve 2 Rain Jacket's features and ensure you stay bone-dry even in nasty weather.

This is a very good looking jacket, but it runs small. That is, if you'd only wear it in the city going to work etc, then it would be great. But as a backpacking jacket, it is just not roomy enough for layers underneath. I have to return it, unfortunately.

The fabric might be a bit noisy for some but it is light and for the price it's a good deal.

Not impressed with this jacket at all - will be returning it. No point keeping the rain out if it generates so much moisture inside you are positively dripping wet. Have worn it twice in light rain and just damp conditions and both times I could see the moisture dripping down the inside when I took it off. Plus the material has a serious crackle noise every step you take.

Bought it for my girlfriend who's a petite 00, so it's a bit loose on her and she can wear other layers underneath. Dependable TNF size and that's why I LOVE TNF. None of this skinny, save on material, Euro style sizes. Took it to Tahoe and Florida, both during wind and rain/slushy snow conditions and she stayed dry in both. It's thicker and a tad heavier than wind breakers, so don't take it jogging. It's not light and thin. It's made to keep you dry and beat off a light CA, NV and FL storm.

I wore this jacket a few times and it’s done pretty great! It’s been raining a lot where I live so I decided to invest in a waterproof windbreaker. I also wore this standing outside in the rain waiting for a concert venue to open its doors and it didn’t soak through! My shirt was nice and dry. Although it’s a little noisy when I move around but not too annoying. I can wear a hoodie inside it if I need to be warmer but it looks fine with just a shirt underneath as well. Very happy with my purchase

We purchased these jackets for our family for Christmas and they all loved it! My family- my wife, my daughter and myself- already have these jackets. We bought these because they are very cool jackets. They stand up pretty good to the rain, they are perfect as windbreakers with layers underneath. I lost my jacket a few weeks ago and purchased another one (men's jacket is cool also). Great jackets overall! Highly recommend.

I love my jacket. Fits well. Protects me from rain and wind without being bulky or feeling too hot. It has been my everyday go to. Even wearing over hoodies during cooler weather. I bought xl for that exact reason. Fits true to size. Buy it. Promise you will be happy.

Bought this for the summer to fall transitional months in Seattle where it's both windy and wet, and wore it to Tokyo where it rained while warm. It's perfect! Easy to wash and kept me dry, plus it isn't too warm. The inside isn't lined so it's a good windbreaker, I'd recommend for 45 deg F and up.

This jacket is good layer for a cold, rainy day. It's light weight and easy to pack up so it is perfect for when you are on the go or when you are hiking, camping, etc. Jacket comes in awesome colors. I would recommend getting this product.

I was looking for a lightweight, packable, waterproof, breathable shell to bring to Scotland, something I could carry 24/7 & pull out as needed. The 1st thing I noticed was the gorgeous Sodalite blue color! It's not at all purple, as it appears in some on-line photos. The hood provides good coverage, & I liked that it's stowable, folding into a stand-up collar with a fleecy lining that's very comfortable. This jacket has a flattering cut, & is a good length. I'm 5'5"/120# & the XS fit nicely over a short-sleeved shirt; the S is a little looser, but fits over a vest or sweater. This jacket is heavier than some of the others I tried, which could be a pro or con depending on your needs. It's warmer than some, given the mesh lining, but doesn't pack down as small/light. The sleeves on the XS were ok, but on the Small were way too long for me, & altho they have elastic, they are not adjustable. So if you push the sleeves up, they just fall back down. The zippered flap has velcro strips, which I find tend to stick to things they shouldn't, & sometimes make it harder to open the jacket if you're trying to put it on in a hurry. Overall not quite what I was looking for, so both sizes of these went back.

Picked this up as a gift for my girlfriend before she went on a hiking trip to Southern California, which has been experiencing their rainy season this past month or so. Have to say, the jacket looks great and seems to bead off water with minimal effort, at least with my sink spray test at home! The hood neatly tucks into the collar if you don't like wearing it and features two different cinch points for securing it in heavy winds. It's rather minimalist in nature, but does an admirable job for being such a lightweight rain/wind shell.

I bought this jacket for my granddaughter. It was thin and lite. Not at all what I was expecting for a north face jacket. She gave it away to her friend. Very disappointed because wasn’t a two layer jacket, it was just a shell. I think they forgot to package the inside of the jacket. What a rip off.

This jacket is great for rain and wind, and also does a pretty decent job of keeping you warm .The material is a little stiffer than a normal windbreaker, which helps with keeping the rain out. I did purchase a size up, as I do for most North Face items and I am glad I did based on the length of the jacket.

I ended up returning this jacket as it was a little heavier than I was looking for, however I did love the style and it is a beautiful design. Overall the tailored fit would be perfect for most body types and the style is cute. I was ultimately shopping for a light weight rain jacket and misread the description when I was doing some last minute xmas shopping, however certainly a style to keep in mind if I am in the market for a heavier jacket like this in the future.

This jacket is very slimming and fits with just enough room for a sweater underneath. Breathable fabric and stylish too, the hood isn’t too big or small.
