I really wanted to keep these pants - I own the shorts and the capri's (both size small) and love the fit and versatility of both. The pants however, as many reviews have already stated, do not fit the same way in the waist. There is minimal stretch, so they do not fit over my hips/bum. I am pretty sure the next size up would be too big. For reference I am curvy on the bottom, and having a long torso, I need pants that will fit over my hips, and still fit around my smaller waist, that are a little higher rise.

I bought one of these from REI and loved it so much. I bought 2 more from this site and they are exactly the same (different colors) which is what I was looking for. They are soft, stretchy, and flattering. Now that I work from home, I am rotating these 3 pairs into my wardrobe as much as possible.

I am so sad about these pants. I have five pair of the shorts and capris and all fit me exactly the same. The fit is perfect and comfortable. I read the reviews of these pants stating something had changed and they fit different now. When I ordered, I intentionally picked a pair that said "last year's color" hoping to get a pair that fit like all my others. Unfortunately, it is as everyone says. The waistband fits once in place, but doesn't have stretch to pull up over your hips, so you feel like you're going to rip them when pulling them up. They are definitely tighter in the thighs than any of my capris. Also, I couldn't find any references to length in other reviews. I got the regular and they are really long. If I were to try another pair, I would probably go with medium/short.

I have a couple pairs of these pants from previous years and love them. They have held up well and wash up great. I was really excited to see a red pair available, but when I got them the fit was much narrower. Waist, hips, legs, everything was tight. Why change such a good thing?

I've been wearing Aphrodite 2 pants size small for years and loving them. The last two pair I've gotten have a different new sizing at the waist, however. The waist is small, has little elastic, and the pants are hard to get on and off. My old Aphrodite 2 pants fit fine. These new ones will have to go back. I called a Gearhead. No one has any idea what I'm talking about. I even called The North Face. Geeze. If you are going to change the cut and fit of a comfortable pant, at least warn the customer!

These pants have been good at keeping me dry while outside in the rain hiking or kayaking. I ended up (after a return) getting a Medium short. The regular were way too long. I'm 5'5" and weigh about 140 lbs. I like that the black color doesn't show dust or dirt as much or I can brush it off quickly.

I have worn these pants hiking and indoor climbing several times at this point. I also wore them on a 10hr plane ride. They are breathable and comfy with lots of pocket space. While I was hiking I was able go keep my phone safe in the zipper pocket and have easy access to it to take pictures. The elastic at the ankle is great for climbers, as you can see you feet great. I wear these all the time and they're so lightweight I try to pack them on every outdoor outing.

I love these so much, I bought multiple pairs to work outdoors in. They are comfortable, cool and dry fast when they get wet.

I have 2 pairs of the Aphrodite Crop Panst in size small. They fit perfectly and the fabric is durable. HOWEVER, I just got the pair of Aphrodite 2.0 pants (full length, size small) and it was a big struggle to get them up over my hips. There is NO give in the waistband at all. Once I got them on they looked nice but it was almost impossible to get them off again. Not sure if I got a "lemon" or if this is the way the pants are made purposely. In any case, if you are a normal-sized woman, with normal sized hips, you won't be able to get these on and off comfortably.

I love the fit of these pants, they are very comfortable. I was a bit concerned reading another reviewers comments about the thinness of the material and she wondered how they would hold up to snags. I wore my new pants yesterday and loved the comfort but the material did snag but did not rip on the thorny vines along the path. That doesn’t bother me much as th fact that the elastic in the hem is too flimsy to hold up the pants so I had to knot them to keep them up. With all of this said, I love the comfort so I will continue to wear them. Oh, one more dissapoitment is that I didn’t realize when I ordered them that there are no back pockets.

Pants were great. Lightly hiked in them. I wore them a couple of times before their first wash, however, they didn’t make it out of the dryer. My community washer and dryers were too much for the pants and they melted in some spots. I’m entirely heartbroken because I didn’t get a good feel for the pants. When I pulled them out of the dryer I checked the heat the dryer was set at and it was set to normal so I’m a little disappointed and will be cautious when buying North Face products.

These pants a very comfortable and I think flattering. However, I don't thikn they will hold up well to rougher activities that involve being snagged on branches or scraped over rocks. They pill and snag a bit. But, they are very light and dry fast for travel. They also run slightly large for outdoor clothing brands.

Wonderful climbing pants, with stretch. I sized down and they fit well, I love that the bottom of the pants sinches up for comfort and style. Material is light and breathable.

Love the fit and style of these North Face pants. They are light and comfortable. I had my other NF hiking pants for over 10yrs before they started wearing too much. Bought these in two colors in medium. I'm 5ft 7in and 145#s.

I love these pants. Super comfortable and look great. I bought them to go Thailand since I wanted to pack light and be able wash them myself if I needed to. I have 3 weeks before I leave though, so I've been wearing them hiking and for everyday wear. They have been good for hiking since they have a lot give/stretch to them. Also, they are lightweight enough that I can layer them for early morning hikes and not have to strip down and remove base layer as soon as the sun comes up. The reason I did not give them a 5 star is because they snag easily. I bought three pair, have worn each approximately 3-5 times and they all have at least 3 snags. And not from hiking through the brush! Just every day wear. They are going to look pretty ratty very quickly...

I LOVE these pants! I am a very outdoorsy person, but I typically don't like wearing outdoorsy clothes for regular wear. These pants are an exception. They are so comfortable! And you can dress them up or wear them hiking. They are great for almost anything. I am 5'7", 120-125 pounds, with shorter legs and a longer torso and I got the Small, Short (not the capris, but the short length pant) and they are the perfect fit and length. I had tried on the regular length in a store and they were way too long for me, so I am so glad I found the short length on here. I will probably order them in black, too.

I cannot say enough good things about these pants. I've got them in both the full length & capri cuts, but I always find myself going for my full lengths! They're breathable, durable, comfortable, adjustable, & layerable - what more could you want?! The drawstring waistband gives you the freedom to tighten or loosen the waist if need be, and the adjustable ankle ties allow full control of the length of the pants. There's a part of me that wishes there was at least one back pocket on these, but the extra zip pocket on the front makes up for it, I feel prepared for any type of approach & climb when I've got these on. I can't wait to purchase them in more colors!

I have a 25" waist, 35" hips and purchased the XS, which fit perfectly. Comfortable, great fit through the hips, fun extras like a drawstring at the ankle make these a fun, easy, great looking pair of pants. I can't say enough good about them.
