For the Freestone Stockingfoot Wader, Simms actually consulted female guides working in the industry to find out what anglers want from their waders. Fit was key, but none of these ladies were willing to compromise performance either. The Freestone delivers both, thanks to its articulated cut and technical design. Utilizing Simms' Toray Quadralam four-layer fabric, the waders provide waterproof, breathable performance that will perform well when high temperatures are fueling cold, mountain run-off rivers. The waders are fitted with integrated gravel guards to protect against abrasive river bottoms. A fleece-lined handwarmer pocket provides a place to warm your digits before you go to switch out flies on a cold winter day, while a convenient convertible design allows you to switch the waders to waist-highs when you won't be wading quite as deep in creeks and small rivers.

I bought this for my wife, and these are her thoughts. I am 5’0, 104 lbs, with women’s size 6 feet and I bought a size S/Short. These are my first waders and I have not used them in the field yet. However, my first impressions are that with the adjustable suspender straps and belt, these waders could easily fit a variety of heights and sizes. The S/Short leg length works for me and although the feet are a little big, overall, I am happy with the fit - much better than expected.

I bought these as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves them! She says, "I love how stylish these are and how they perform. Another big thing is how they fit and these fit fantastically!"

I can't say enough great things about these waders. Coming from another, less premium brand, I feel like I've hit the mecca of waders. They fit perfectly, look great, and keep me dry/warm/happy. I'm 5"1' and 115lbs; the small short fit like a glove.

These are the waders my girlfriend uses. She absolutely loves them. They have held up very well over time and the quality of the materials and craftsmanship is top notch. With a full size run you're guaranteed to find the size that fits you best. These breath well enough to be used on hot days but also work very well in cold temps. We recently were fishing the Provo river in temps well below zero and with the appropriate layers on she was nice and toasty. I highly recommend these if you spend a good amount of time on the river. Simms never disappoints. She is 5'6" and 120lbs. The small fit her very well.

I juat received these waders so I haven't used them yet, but they fit great. I am 120lbs and about 5'6''. I got the size small and I was worried about the length, but the adjustable straps make it so you can move and bend without pressure on the groin area. I normally wear a size 7.5-8 in normal footwear but took a chance on the small size and the booties still fit, they are a little snug in the toe area but not uncomfortable. I also bought the women's vapor boot to match, I ordered a size 9, I think I could have gotten an 8 and fit just fine but I'm keeping the 9. The boots are very stylish, light weight and work perfect with the gravel guards. They seem to have great ankle support but are a little wider than they need to be, at least for my feet. I also bought the tippet tender pocket that zips into the inside of the waders and I am very excited not to have to carry a bag since I can fit everything I need in these waders. Hope this review helps anyone who's looking for a new pair of waders. I thought they were a great price for a premium product.

Simms has the great reputation it does for a reason, these waders are extremely high quality for the price. Though its not pictured here they do come with a wading belt . I've been nothing but thrilled with these so far. I'm 5'4 125 and a 26 waist, I ordered a medium and they are a little bit baggy. I personally like a little extra room so I can throw extra layers on for fall/winter fishing.

Fly fishing and style don't normally go together in the same sentence, but these are, in fly fish circles, pretty damn stylish, haha. Love that there is no belt. Nice and clean look. Fit is great too, once on, but can be a little tricky squeezing in at first. Oh, and gave to Sarah as a 30th bday gift. She was stoked.

I am new to fly fishing and wanted boots and waders I could feel confident in and that were also flattering to the female form. I thoroughly researched all different brands and models of women's apparel, and finally settled on Simms. I purchased the Simms Freestone waders (size M) and the Simms Vapor Boots (size 9). I normally fit perfectly into a size 8.5 shoe. In my local fly shop, I was able to try on a variety of sizes. According to the size chart, my measurements (34, 27, 36) aligned with a size S waders, except in the feet. Size S offers only a size 6-7 bootie. Just as the size chart suggested, the S felt perfect everywhere, leaving enough room to layer comfortably underneath, but the neoprene of the wader booties was a bit too tight. Moving up to the waders in a size M (8-9 foot), the booties actually feel a size too large, and the waders themselves are roomy (especially on top), even with a warm layer underneath. Fortunately, though, the wader belt cinches well enough to prevent a Bozo The Clown look. There is enough vertical room to bend and flex comfortably, and the suspenders allow for a customized torso length. While the reversible suspender buckles do allow an easy conversion from chest to waist waders, I find it easy enough to simply fold the top of the waders down to my waist if I am feeling warm with them up. They are breathable enough to maintain a comfortable body temp, both in the (not too cold) stream and out with just shorts, but I do recommend a light base layer to prevent sweat sticking to you and making you feel like you're wearing a trash bag. With the M waders, the size 9 boots fit quite well. The gravel guard loop on the Vapor boots is in the perfect location for the hook on the Freestone waders, and when combined, my feet stayed nice and dry. The waders are easy to get in and out of, and the neoprene dries rather quickly, so you can easily store them in a vented bag for travel. To top it all off, the color combination is rather flattering, especially when combined with the Freestone waders. Trying them on in the shop got quite a few compliment from the other female customers. My only real recommendation to Simms is to offer different options of bootie sizes attached to the waders, as I would have preferred a size S, but my feet would have been uncomfortable, and we all know the importance of foot comfort on the stream. Bust: 34 Waist: 27 Hips: 36 Shoe size: 8.5 Size: M (would have preferred S)

The stock photo of these waders are comically over sized for the model. In reality the waders are much more form fitting to the female figure and the size chart spot on! I've already fallen on a few rocks and run into a few trees and I haven't sprung a leak! Bust: 34 Waist: 28 Hips: 39 Size: Medium
