If you spend more of your waking moments submerged mid-thigh in a river casting out to sipping fish than anywhere else, then invest in the Men's G3 Guide Stockingfoots Wader. Simms' exclusive 5-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric is found in the seat, waist, and throughout the leg for rugged durability and absolute protection, and there's 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro in the upper part for greater comfort and breathability. Simms also gave the G3 its patented front and back leg seam design which allows for unprecedented amount of mobility and leg articulation in the wader while eliminating seams from the inner leg critical wear zones. The G3 Guide is designed to easily convert to a waist-high wader for versatility in any fishing environment while articulated knees ensure maximum comfort and mobility as you reel in your catch. Adjustable suspenders and belt loops allow you to customize the fit for maximum comfort. Flip out the removable Tippet Tender pocket to reach your accessories and adjust your outfit—without reaching for your bag—and return to the cat-and-mouse game at hand.

I owned the first pair of G3 waders and recently just upgraded to this new model of G3's. They allow for maximum movement and are not constricting in any way. The handwarmer is my favorite feature for sure, seeing as it can hold a cold beverage or two on a hot day. The waders can transform into hip waders by rolling down the upper portion and using the suspenders as a belt. The Simms warranty and overall quality make these waders a no brainer.

If there is one thing we can all agree upon these days, it is that these waders are incredible. The 5 layer gore keeps submerged body parts dry, while the 3 layer upper adds a bit of breathability. I have put a ton of days in these things (which often include intense bushwhacking), and I still have no signs of wear or leaks. They definitely updated/upgraded the fit, belt and suspender system from the last pair of Simms waders that I had, and they overall just feel like a higher quality product. The fleece handwarmer pocket might be my favorite part of the whole wader- it is a lifesaver on frigid days. I am 6'4, 180 with a size 12 foot, and I got the size large 12-13 stockingfoot. The large fits pretty well, but in hindsight I think I should have gone with the Large Long size.

These new G3 waders by Simms are the most advanced wader on the market at this point in time, and even come in at a very reasonable price for what you get. New for this year, Simms went with a 4 layer gore tex on these bad boys, which increased under-water breathability by 190% while also making it 31% more puncture resistant and 30% lighter! By far the most high tech wader i've ever worn, and everything you would expect from a Simms product. Would highly recommend giving them a go out there!

I was a biologist in Oregon for the summer and used my G3 Waders every day for 4 months straight. They held up very well, only a few minor tears, ( self caused climbing over fences and trees) Easily fixed and stayed dry all summer. I have put more miles on these than anyone ever should and they still keep performing. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been an avid fly fisher for around 20 years and spend about 50 days a year on the water. I have always bought middle of the road waders that would serve me well for a couple of years before needing replacement. I chose to spend my hobby dollars on fly rods or other equipment and not on a high quality pair of waders. I finally broke down and purchased the G3 waders on the recommendation of a friend and I am extremely pleased. If I had known how good they are I would have purchased a pair years ago. The fit is the best that I have ever had and they are so comfortable I can fish all day and never think about them. I can say that everything about the G3 is excellent. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of G3 waders!

Received the G3 Guide waders and they were a bit large. Backcountry.com exchanged them very promptly. Why I waited to purchase these for so many years, I don't know. The handmade quality and workmanship is truly impressive. They just fit everywhere. Simms makes a superior product. The online service is really great. My Gearhead is super. I am so happy I chose to purchase them through Backcountry.com.

Really the best piece of gear I have. Gore made an outstanding product in terms of construction, waterproofness, and even some thermal protection. I have dunked it a few times (for testing purposes), go t completely soaked in it, but still fished all day. Once the water heated up to my core temperature I wasn't shivering anymore. Got home and turned it completely inside out, next morning it was dry and ready to be waded in again. Knees articulate supurfluously, and there is no obscene buncing anywhere. There is no looseness to it, but hugs the body without compromising movement in the water or on a water craft. Usually I get set up at home and drive up to 45 mins to my therapy session. It is in fact comfortable for the entire drive. Simply rollover the top down to help thermoregulate. Must purchase if you are debating any other or have some inferior generic waders.

Put these waders through a lot over the past year + and they have held up through a lot of water and bushwacking. Durable enough to take a beating, but still comfortable and not too bulky. Haven't got wet yet except from above.

After the material on my old waders completely gave out I decided to take the plunge and buy these bad boys. I wasn't able to find a bad review on these waders, and now I can see why. They fit like actual pants, not baggy and awkward like many of the other waders I've used. I love how thick the bottom section is too, they seem like they'll actually hold up to everything I'm going to put them through.

These are great waders Very durable. They fit trim so there is not allot of fabric flapping around in the water which is nice on fast moving rivers.
