When you're wringing your socks out after a day of fishing, it might be time to upgrade to the Simms Freestone Stockingfoot Wader. Made with a durable 4-layer Toray waterproof, breathable shell, the Freestone's will wade deep and easily handle long approaches in cold weather through the bush to your favorite stretch of river. Adjustable suspenders let you dial in the perfect fit while two fleece-lined hand pockets let you warm your fingers before you go to tie on that tiny dry fly. Lightweight, well built, comfortable and fit well. Im 6'2" 180 lbs, and wear a 32 waist 32/33 inseam. I bought a large and they were way too baggy, bought the medium (same length) and they fit perfect. Room for a jacket or sweater still but im not swimming in them. I get cold easy so come late october november I wear my base layers and ski socks with them and i can fish all day without a problem. Theyre breathable in the summer too. You'll be happy if you get the right size for sure. The one issue i have is that the front zipper pocket is not waterproof. they do sell a waterproof zip on attachment pocket that goes inside the chest area and that took care of the problem for an extra 20 bucks or so.

These may be better for long legs and a shorter torso. Orvis seem to work well with a longer torso and shorter legs. Great waders though, especially for the price.

These waders always keep me warm and dry when I am fishing out of my float tube. They are very good at what they are supposed to do.

This was a gift for my brother and he says that these are awesome. He has used these several times on his fishing trips. He reports that they are very breathable and warm at the same time.

I haven't actually been able to take these out just yet, but I've tried them on a few times and my initial impressions are that these are a good wader for a good price. I like the way they fit. Seems to be true to size and they aren't too baggy. Hopefully getting out soon and I will write another review once I do.

These are my first real upgrade in the wader category, but I'm glad I did it. They are super comfortable, the neoprene boot bottoms fit my feet well, and they aren't baggy like EVERY other wader I have worn. Simms has one of the best warranties in any clothing industry, and I stand by thier products ten fold.

The Simms Freestone Stockingfoot Waders are a great fit and are made with a quality effort. I've used these several times I love the fit and the design, the suspender straps hold in the right placement for comfort and the gators are extra appreciated as well. My only criticism is on the design of the chest pocket. Due to the design, the pocket acts as a reservoir for water if you happen to allow water to get around belly button height. I've never had this happen in other waders and feel like this could have easily been avoided by changing the shape of the pocket. Also, my bad completely but didn't realize the inside of the same pocket is mesh and not waterproof - first time I used them I lost my phone to Deschutes river water! Haha. All in all, still love these and will continue to use them regularly.

I got these as a replacement for my worn out pair from another brand and am really happy with them so far. They fit well, have just the features I need without any that I don't, and they seem to be way higher quality than waders from other brands at this price point.

i have always used the all in one waders and the sucked so i thought it was time to upgrade to the stocking waders and i must say what a change, with the pair of boots i bought it is much more comfortable, and feel like i get a ton more traction than the all in one, i would definitely recommend these to any first timer looking to buy their first pair you will absolutely get you moneys worth and more! with these bad boys.

Simms makes excellent waders and probably the best waders. I bought one of their first Gortex waders and 15 years later still use them. These Freestone waders are true to size and not big and bulky. Extremely well designed and they fit and look great. No need to spend hundreds of dollars more when you can have top notch waders like this at this price......
