The Men's River Salt Wading Boot is a lighter option of wader footwear from Patagonia, and it still boasts heavy-duty support and protection whether you're fishing in a summer stream or an alpine lake. Patagonia built this boot with heavy-duty support and protection. Its waterproof, full-grain leather upper comes from Danner's American tannery, and it has a PFC-free saline solution process for improved resistance to breakdown. The Vibram Megagrip rubber sole is specially compounded for grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

These boots are extremely light and rugged. Not much effort to break in as well. Worthy investment for my feet. Ordered size 10 . I typically wear 9.5 in a running shoe and boots. Plenty of room for winter socks.

Could not be more impressed with these wading boots. When I'm on the river I like to hike a lot to get away from the usual spots and generally this is the worst part of the day. My previous wading boots were clunky and did not perform well on the hike to the ditch, but that is not the case with these boots. Comfortable and supportive, the River Salt wading boots feel great both in and out of the water. I did have a tricky time figuring out the sizing, but like others have said, they feel tight until they get wet. I wear a 9.5 street shoe and tried both the 10's and 11's. Initially I thought the 10's were too tight so I tried the 11's before I got the 10's in the river. In the water, it was clear that the 11's were too roomy and the 10's ended up feeling perfect. I think the construction of these boots is awesome, but I also think there is a break in period that allows the boot to stretch just a bit to the fisherman's foot. These feel great with the Patagonia Rio Gallegos waders, but I can't wait to use these wet wading this summer!

Had the chance to get a few days in with these guys and so far pretty stoked. Construction is simple and bulletproof, however they are noticeably heavy. They remind me of old school combat boot in their overall design. The sizing accommodates the wader so order according to your street shoe size. I am 9.5 street shoe and 10's here are perfect.

I can’t get enough of these boots. I’ve had the Patagonia ultralights for a couple seasons now and they okay, but clunky. These bad boys are sleek, comfortable, the keep your foot stable on uneven river bottoms, and the rubber sticks super well. Tried them out on the Provo river and the Weber and performed incredibly well. They do stretch a bit after getting in the water though. I’m 11 1/2 in most street shoes, I tried 11 and they were pretty tight until hopping in the river. But I tried a pair of size 12’s after and they were a perfect fit. Get rid of your old wading boots, or if you bought new ones, send them back. YOU WANT THESE!! Last wading boot you will ever buy!!!

this boots are awesome and super durable. They do fit a little tight so I would size up for sure. They fit perfectly when paired with other Patagonia waders. They are also really comfortable.

This is an initial review I will be updating after further use. Fresh out of the box, these boots seem to fit quite tight. I am a Men's 10.5 in every hiking boot and running shoe I wear. I chose a size 11 in the Salt River Boots and they feel very tight when first putting them on with the Patagonia Rio Azule wader in size Medium Long . The booties on that wader size are recommended foot size 12-13, thus there is some extra neoprene as with most wader/ boot combos. These boots are well built and I love that they go a full two inches above my redington boots. The height provides extra stability and protection stumbling over slick rocks. After 3 hours of use, the boot did seem to stretch and was comfortable on the hike back to the car.
