The Patagonia Stretch Wavefarer 16in Volley Short is designed with a stretchy, quick-drying fabric that's ideal for cooling off at the lake and lounging on coastal vacations. Its unlined design aides in its ability to dry quickly, as does the moisture-shedding DWR finish. And because Patagonia is dedicated to improving worker's wages and reducing the environmental impact of their garments, the fabric is Bluesign approved and the stitching is Fair Trade Certified.

I'd been looking for drawstring, unlined shorts I could wear all day on the river or lake, with some light hiking thrown in. These are perfect. Dry quickly, not too long, and drawstring keeps them comfy.

I bought as a gift for my husband and loves them He likes the shorter board shorts and says they have enough stretch to be comfortable. He would buy another pair

So comfortable! Wore these all the time on recent trip and they did not disappoint. Comfortable, stretchy, durable and sexy AF.

The shorts are comfortable, even when wet sitting by the pool, or on a boat. Without a liner, then can be used with or without under garments and are equally as comfy. Without, they're a bit more freeing than those with mesh liners, so be careful as you step out of the pool as you don't want to accidentally give anyone a free show. Also, since they're a bit shorter inseam, I did have to apply sunscreen to my legs a bit higher up than previous swimsuits. Love these shorts, and would buy them again.

Cliff diving? Yep! Hiking through the rain forest? Yep! Swimming in the ocean? Yep! Put on a button up and hit the bar? Yep! I have 4 pairs of these, I’ve used and abused them and they never fail. They are quick drying, comfortable and are the perfect fit for me. I’m 5’11 184lbs and wear a medium. I would say if your not comfortable in something a little slimmer fitting, these are not for you. The only complaint I have is the button back pocket can be difficult to use. Other than that, I highly recommend them and it doesn’t hurt they are made and sourced responsibly.

Very nice but way too tight in the waist and legs! Gave them to my nephew

Loved the stretchy material, very comfortable. Returned the shorts because they were too tight, the waist fits perfect but they're too tight around the rear, should have ordered a large.

I have baggies, Mandukas, Prana Mojos, Etc, but these are hands down my favorite of any of them! Just a super classic style with a stretchy material that I really dig. The inseam is a perfect length at a few inches above the knee. I think these are just as at home in the Yoga studio, as they are on the river. Bought them in three colors and plan to wear these bad boys for many Summers to come. The fit is solid and true to size. Good job Patagonia!
