This rashguard is super tight fitting! I got a Small for my boyfriend (who is usually a Small) but it was too tight to get on. After sizing up to a Medium it fit perfectly. A rashguard is suppose to be tight so the Medium was a good fit. He just didn't like the tight fitting of the rashguard so this style didn't work out for him. We will be returning and getting a loose-fit rashguard instead

I bought this rashguard before a snorkeling trip in Australia. Full disclosure, I'm a total Patagonia fanboy. I love almost everything of theirs I've ever bought and this is no exception. My biggest reason for buying this was the sun protection, an area in which the rashguard performed splendidly. As far as fit, this rashguard is tight, as rashguards are supposed to be. It allowed me to wear this under a wetsuit as well as on its own. The loops on the bottom can be tied to board shorts which prevent it from riding up. All in all, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. It prevented this pale ginger from horrible sunburn.

This is great quality shirt, but even as a fitted shirt the neck hole is way to small, if you are typical Medium Dude, you will most likely need to size up at LEAST one size

This shirt is awesome for not only water sports but also for general workouts from lifting at the gym to going on a run. It breathes surprisingly well and the UPF rating keeps you safe when the sun is beating down on you. Definitely note that it fits tight and size slightly up accordingly. I usually wear a size M in Patagonia, but wear a size L in this piece. The size M fit, but the L was much more comfortable.

Product as described and very good quality but couldn't tell from item description that this is a tight fit shirt, like an Under Armor long sleeve compression shirt. Probably great for outdoor water sports but I was thinking a loose fitting sun shirt when I saw the shirt on the website.
