Rely on the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Hooded Insulated Jacket for warmth high in the alpine whether you're climbing or ski touring. Its Primaloft Gold Eco insulation adds the touch of warmth needed for active endeavors in cold places, and it's so compressible that the jacket stows inside its own pocket for compact convenience on your harness or in your pack. Patagonia treated the jacket's tough, recycled ripstop shell to shed snowflakes and raindrops. The Nano's hood fits under helmets with ease, and the adjustable hem stays secure under harnesses.

I was super excited to get this jacket due to its relatively light weight, packability, Patagonia warranty, hood, and all the positive reviews. I initially ordered this in a medium and when it arrived, I was disappointed to find that the sleeves were too short and the shoulders were so tight. I am 5'8, athletic build, broad shoulders but thin body (size S or M shirts, 6 pants, 28" waist). The body fit perfectly, but I literally couldn't raise my arms. I returned it and got a size large and now the sleeves fit--are long even--but the body is gigantic. For shell jackets, I tend to get a large so I can fit my layers in. In this jacket, I feel like I'm swimming in it with just a warm base layer or two. It is, indeed, super warm for how lightweight it is. I am going to keep it, but I was hoping I could layer it under a shell without feeling too stuffed in.

100% this is a staple for me. From cold ice climbing days, to backcountry or resort skiing, this is a MUST HAVE LAYER. Great construction and material, and has held up after several seasons. (Photo: Sukakpak Visuals)

I bought this jacket a couple weeks ago because it was on sale; and since I bought it I've worn it every day. I love it, it looks great and is super comfortable for fall Maine temps. Although I haven't done anything crazy in it- I've only worn it for errands and such- it already has a small tear in the left sleeve. I looked down because I could see some filler coming out, and was shocked. I'm so bummed, as I planned to use this as my go to for fall and spring. I am not sure if it came this way and I just noticed, or if it's something that happened since but either way I'm a little disappointed. The hole is tiny, but it just concerns me. Aside from that, the coat is great and I love the hood!

This jacket is amazing. I love how lightweight it is yet it keeps me so warm. It's perfect for camping/backpacking/skiing you name it. And it looks cute when you're just hanging out. I normally wear mediums so that is the size I got. It fits great! It's not too fitted so I have room to add layers underneath.

This is such a great lightweight jacket. Just perfect for colder mornings in the spring, or the temperature change from hot to cold. Super packable and great for traveling as well!

If you want a warm, light weight, packable jacket then this is the one for you! It's cute, comfortable, and has a perfect to be worn as a mid or base layer. I wear this casually, climbing, camping and biking. I'd live in this jacket for the rest of my life if I could.

There is a reason why everyone involved in the outdoors has this jacket. It's the best. Period. It is the greatest shoulder season or layering jacket out there. Super lightweight and it packs down incredibly small. I had this jacket in my cart for a year and I should have just immediately bought it. Hands down the best jacket out there.

I cannot say enough about this jacket! This is my favorite jacket by far - so lightweight, comfortable and warm - it is a MUST have for city wear and even hikes on cooler days! I picked up one for my spouse and she absolutely loves it. I definitely recommend the hooded version!

This is hands down the best mid weight winter layer jacket or fall to early winter jacket. Keeps me warm like a 550 down jacket. Packs down small and machine washable. Also cant beat the Patagonia lifetime warranty. Worth every penny!

LOVE this jacket....loved it so much that I immediately ordered the nano-puff vest in the same Tomato color! Bought a LARGE to be able to put a light-weight fleece underneath, but I wore the jacket the other day with just a turtleneck when it was about 38 degrees, and it was plenty warm. Definitely recommend, particularly the color! Sizing might run a little small.

I have another Patagonia XL jacket that I can layer under. This style was too tight. I wanted to like it but the cut was not right for curvy busty girls.

There's a reason why there are so many positive reviews on this jacket. Plain and simple, it just works. I gave this as a gift and honestly haven't see the recipient without it on in months.

I gave this jacket as a gift and have received great feedback... "I love that the Nano puff jacket is lightweight, warm and packs down for traveling. It's easy to have on hand for when it gets cold. The hood is nice for those days when it's super windy or rainy. It's easy to layer on top of if it's super cold."
