I find this line of Patagonia goods to be very comfortable and warm. The fit on this is fitted and close to the body, so at my natural size M, I can fit a light sweater or long sleeved shirt under it, but a thicker sweater/sweatshirt would be a little snug. Still comfortable and surprisingly wind resistant for a knitted jacket - I've returned fleeces that let wind right through.

Absolutely amazing! I have always wanted this jacket but I did not want to pay $150. Backcounty allowed me to get this for only $100. I am so please with the quality and how fast I got it. I got a LARGE because I usually like my clothes to be a bit bigger. I am normally a medium.

Since this arrived I pretty much haven't taken it off. So cozy and flattering. I can throw it on for the gym or wear out as a casual jacket. As always, Patagonia makes quality pieces that have a long life in my closet.

I gave this as a gift and she had this to say: I love this jacket! Now that the weather has turned colder (early Dec.) this has been the perfect garment. I typically wear it with a light shirt under the jacket and it has been warm when there is no wind. If windy I would pair this with a shell. I like the colors (I bought the grey and currant) the finish (kinda looks like wool) and the interior is soft.

I bought this for a friend of mine who suffers from being cold all winter. Haven't seen them without this jacket on since.

I stumbled upon Backcountry via social media and decided to take advantage of a coupon to order this hoodie. I'm typically between a medium and a large, so I went with medium to see what would happen. As others have noted, the arms are super tight! The hoodie was very cute, but overall, way too snug. It stretched, but I could barely wear a t-shirt under it comfortably. I called to make an exchange (didn't have an account at the time) and was met with great, friendly and helpful customer service! They were able to process my return and order me a large while I was on the phone. I just received the large in the mail and it is absolutely perfect. The hoody is very comfy, warm and will serve me well during our mild North Carolina falls and winters. As I was opening up the package, I got an alert that Backcountry had received my return and had processed my refund. Thanks, guys! You've gained a new customer.

As is happening with most Patagonia clothing, it is tapered-slim fit. That is fine, but tapered fit means no room for arm muscles. Unless your body type matches the "typical outdoor chick catalog models" this (and everything in this line) is unlikely to fit. Similarly, if you are short there is no petit #shortgirlproblems. I am giving it two stars because the Backcountry suggestions say that 1 is for "Straight up Sucks," and nothing from Patagonia (my favorite company) is that.

I bought this jacket for my wife, and she wears it to work regularly. It's light, fitted, and keeps her warm on a cold night shift. She recommends it to everyone who asks.

I bought this for my daughter because she just loved mine. This is a very sharp looking sweater. My sweater was the Birch White so I bought her the Navy and she liked this color even more. The arms tend to run long but it still looked good with a rolled cuff, otherwise I would of given it 5 stars.

I bought this for my girlfriend to use as a casual hoodie while doing stuff around the house, walking, and light hiking. She had several poorer quality sweatshirts and fleeces, so she got rid of those and we invested in a more expensive but excellent quality piece from Patagonia. She is very happy with it so far, it fits true to size, is very warm, the outside is knit tight enough to keep out the wind. We both love that it is from a responsible company like Patagonia who used Bluesign approved fabric (i.e. environmentally friendly http://www.patagonia.com/us/patagonia.go?assetid=68401 )

I got this in anticipation of winter and have already found myself wearing this around my house when i need a light layer. It's super soft, made of good materials and I know it's going to last me many years.

I'm usually not one for synthetic fabrics as I have changed most of my outdoor clothes for wool, but I couldn't resist the color of this jacket (pretty red). As others have written, it's warmer than it looks. It's my new favorite layer for cold winter mornings in the office. I also like the feel of the fabric; although synthetic, it doesn't have that sticky, plasticky feel that made me steer away from synthetic materials since the advent of washable wool. I haven't had the piling problems others have noted. The only reason it's not a five stars is I would have liked to have a chest pocket for my cell phone, but that's pretty minor all things considered.

Warmer than it looks, this sweater keeps me warm at work and on outdoor adventures. Lately it's been a great mid layer, but I'm sure it will be great on its own come Spring.

I really wanted to like this. I love Patagonia stuff. It was soft and had deep pockets but it wasn't flattering. It was oddly baggy in the tummy and tight on the bust and hip. It was very long in the arm and waist. It didn't seem like it would hold up well when washed. Not what I expected.

Purchased for my mother. She's been searching for a warm jacket that's not necessarily a coat and this fit the bill. She's been liking it so far (normally not easy to please haha) and finds it to be well-made, warm, and very comfortable. I suspect she cold washes it then puts it to hang dry like she does with most clothes she owns. This is an everyday jacket at work for her. Sleeves are a bit long for her but this probably has more to do with her overall stature; she remedies this by folding them up. Highly recommended.

This jacket is the grown up version of your favorite fleece hoodie. The material is very soft on the inside, but the knit sweater look on the outside makes it look a little more polished. I have been wearing it as a layer underneath a wind/waterproof shell, and it's plenty warm if you're walking or moving around outside.
