Whether you stuff Patagonia's Arbor Grande 28L Backpack with climbing shoes, a rope, and harness, or your laptop, homework, and lunch, this backpack is ready to tag along on any adventure. Rugged material inside and out holds up against outdoor environments including the crag or bus stop, and with a water-repellent finish you can be sure your laptop is safe from scattered showers as you dart around campus. The bottom zippered pocket is separated from the main compartment and is designed to hold wet rain jackets, dirty shoes, or your snack lunch, while the front and top zippered pockets hold your small essentials at a quick reach. A padded laptop sleeve holds most 15-inch laptops and doubles as an insulated hydration sleeve for when you hit the trails. And ergonomic padded shoulder straps give comfortable support when carrying heavy loads and the adjustable waist belt helps the backpack stay in place while you maneuver through trail obstacles and bike through traffic.

I ordered this bag in Tomato mainly because it was on sale at the time, but this bag is worth it full price! It's a perfect size for a weekend trip or a day hike.

This is a great bag. I’m a guy who ordered the bag in the Tomato color though because I often commute on my bike and wanted a brighter color. It should be noted that the color is more of a coral/pink then I expected. My wife decided to keep it and she loves the bag. The extra compartment in the bottom and zippered pockets are perfect for her and the extra items she always has due to having two kids in tow. She loves the color and the bag.

I got this bag a little over a month ago and have to say I'm impressed with the quality and functionality of the bag. I got it in black and like how it looks fairly low-key and doesn't have branding plastered all over it. The separate bottom zipper compartment is great for shoes or workout clothes and expands quite a bit. The zipper pocket on the lid is great for things you need to grab quickly and the front pocket is made a bit more secure since you can't easily reach the zipper when the top part is latched. This could also be annoying if you're trying to get things out of that pocket quickly, but it is doable. The main compartment has the laptop compartment and plenty of space to shove your stuff. If you need to organize it, packing cubes or zippered pouches would be the way to go. The water bottle pockets are deep enough and large enough that bottles don't fall out which is a major plus. I can easily fit my 32oz insulated bottle and a coffee travel mug in them, even when the main compartment is pretty full. I never use the chest straps on backpacks but if that's something you do use, be aware that this bag doesn't have one. I still find it perfectly comfortable without. This is a great commuter bag if you like to bring workout clothes or a change of shoes and not have them in the same compartment with your lunch/work stuff, or it can save you from bringing two bags. I'm going on a trip in the summer and an looking forward to using this bag for it. It seems like it'll hold up well over time.

Here is what my brother had to say about this backpack I got for him before our trip to Italy. "Well right off the bat it's easy to see the quality of the build, not to mention it's water resistant. I've tested it and its works pretty well. I can easily fit so much in this pack. I love all the pockets and especially the water bottle pockets which are really deep. Its really comfy to wear and I use it all day and don't have an issue. The only thing I wish it had was a chest strap for more support. It does have the waist belt but I like having both."
