Any time is a good time for an impromptu dance party, even in the pool. Let's face it, you were born with this ability to produce smooth dance moves, so show them off while rocking tunes out of the Outdoor Tech Turtle Shell 3.0 Bluetooth Speaker. The folks at Outdoor Tech put this speaker in a shell that floats in water and equipped it with an IPX7 waterproof construction, so you can listen to it underwater, if you should feel so inclined. The rechargeable battery can run for up to 25 hours, so you can rock it on the ski hill and keep the party rolling to the hot tub afterwards. Pesky wires always seem to get in the way of your break-dancing routine, but the 3.0 has a wireless range of 30 feet, so wires or the shell itself won't be getting in your way.

I already own a 3.0 turtle shell(blue) and it's awesome, but sometimes its GOTTA be louder. I bought a JBL charge 4 and it wasn't any louder really, returned. Have a T.S ultra and it's not any louder, just base light and Bigger, so it's going back. Also, my 3.0 wouldn't pair up with my ultra and I need to know if I buy another 3.0 , will it pair with old one?

For the price, this speaker is pretty awesome. It can charge your phone or tablet on a camping trip and bump your favorite tunes with an easy connect with Bluetooth. The one thing I'd improve is the overall sound quality, I'm a big music guy and the quality of the sound could be improved - but for the price you're paying - the extra features make up for it! Definitely a solid purchase.

I used both this one and the buckshot 2.0 and loved them! I actually prefer the buckshot since it is smaller and goes almost as loud. This speaker is a great buy because of the sound volume and sound quality. It is rugged and water-resistant. It is a bit too bulky for me but other than that it is a great buy!

I've been using this in my kayak at the lake and on river trips and it's been amazing. And not only is it waterproof, but it floats! So no worries about losing it to the deeps if it goes for a swim when it's knocked overboard. The option to pair with another one for extended sound range is nice but my favorite feature is the speaker's new 'voice.' An earlier model had the most annoying one that announced being powered on or battery low and it seriously was so nice hearing that change

Want to listen to moody music in the rain? Bring this speaker. Want to go camping and bring great sound quality? Bring this speaker. Want to listen to music for days on end without having to recharge? Bring this speaker. Want to be able to go do other things while listening to music? Bring this speaker. The range for connection is great, 35 feet I think. The size is portable and lightweight so it easily works with your car camping set up. Get two of the for easy pairing and have surround sound in the woods! Treat yo self, get one of these

I have an older ODT Big Turtle shell. After taking it with me on just about every trip where I'd appreciate some tunes, my old man finally asked me if he could have one too. I picked one of these up for him for Father's Day and he absolutely loves it. Easy to charge, easy to pair and great sound quality. Plenty durable if you take care of it (i.e. don't go intentionally submerging it in water just for fun). Great speaker at a great cost!

This product was great at first. Took it with me on a camping trip and it was impressive sound quality. The aux cord cover was ripped off, which kind of defeats the waterproof part and it was still under warranty, so I sent it in for repairs. They sent me the speaker back (possibly a new speaker or the same speaker). Either way, the new speaker would not hold a charge AT ALL and only worked when it was plugged into the wall. Of course at this point, i'm 1 month post-warranty coverage. But the speaker didn't have this problem when I sent it in for aux cord cover repair, which led me to believe they sent me some refurbished speaker that didn't work. I emailed them to express my anger and basically had to point out why this product was fine under warranty and a product THEY sent me (which is not conveniently under warranty anymore) is broken. They agreed to replace the broken speaker, so I sent it in again. A month goes by and I hear nothing. I emailed them and they told me they haven't received the speaker. Then 6 months go by and they email me that they still haven't found the speaker in their warehouse and that this has been happening a lot. Don't send in your speaker if it's under warranty for repairs because after reading reviews, there's no doubt this happens a lot. Basically, they shipped me a broken speaker to replace my broken speaker and then said- sorry it's no longer under warranty... SKETCHY. Also, the fact that the customer service rep admitted that they lose a lot of incoming packages MUST mean that happens a lot. They offered me nothing in return (NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT CODE--Not that I'd use it or ever shop here again), so basically I just gave them my money and my broken product and they won't do anything about it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I'm telling you, this isn't the best speaker on the market and terrible customer service and crappy warranty repairs are NOT worth the hassle. I wouldn't ever purchase anything from here again. Why put myself through that again when I can just find a company who actually cares about their customers and cares about the products they're sending people. Warranties are important, customer service is important- especially with expensive electronics. Also, they won't post any negative reviews on their website, so that right there should tell you a lot about what kind of company they are running.

Great for bringing some party along for those situations that require it - impressive sound quality and battery life. No issues with the waterproofing and fortunately only good experience with OT customer service when I did have to contact them for a warranty issue.

I owned this product for less than a month before it stopped working. I had it out in the rain one day while camping and it just started skipping and then died. I let it dry out and tried to get it working again and now it is always turned on if it's charged. So it only works if it's plugged into the wall. What's most disappointing to me is I've worked for a ski shop handling all of their customer complaints and warranties for years. When I first ordered this product from Outdoor Tech they over charged my card. It took forever for them to reply to my email and say they would give me a refund, which I never received. Now, I go to warranty this product and they tell me to try 'resetting' it by letting it completely die and recharging it. This is after I've told them that it dies completely unless it's plugged in. And because it's just barely over a year since my purchase they aren't going to warranty it. After working with companies for years and doing hundreds of warranties, I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service I've received and the responses that Outdoor Tech has sent me.

I wrote 2 differents reviews on this product a month ago and ODT did not post them on their site, so I decided to come here. Overall I am not happy with this product. I have owned ( Orcas, Big Turtle Shell, and multiple power banks) and used (Turtle Shell 2.0, Buckshot, and DJ Slim) many ODT products. The Turtle Shell 3.0 does not compare in quality to any of these other products. First of all within a couple months of owning I had the waterproof plug rip out and not be able to stay in place, all the rubber feet fell off and were lost, the hood covering the aux port broke off, and both tabs on one side of the strap mounting broke off. The Big Turtle shell in comparison is still in great shape (4years later) and I beat the crap out of it, I even babied the 3.0 when I first got it and still fell apart. I use this product everyday as a lift operator at Big Sky, so it needs to hold up to the elements like the Big Turtle did. I emailed to see if I could get replacement feet and a replacement plug, because without these it’s not waterproof and useless to me. They insisted I need to warranty the whole product for a couple parts they should have thousands of. The sound quality is okay, nothing to write home about. I have had $20 Bluetooth speakers that sounded just as good and got just as loud. It’s safe to say I will NOT be purchasing anymore ODT products.

This thing rocks. It pretty much goes from the shower to my backpack every day. It fits in the water bottle holders on most backpacks to keep your music jamming while you mountain bike or ski/snowboard!

I have one of my own and I got this as a gift for a family member. It is awesome! It's little size goes louder than expected from it's size. The best part is it's durability and water resistance. This speaker is so durable it can be tossed around in the dirt and still work great, which makes it great for camping and the outdoors. When it does get dirty you can easily clean it off with it's water resistance.

This is a staple in my backpack. Anytime I play tennis, commute to work, bike to a friends or go skiing this do it all speaker comes along. This speaker is compact while still being loud enough to fill a room or use outside. The added benefit of waterproofing means no stress of being caught in the rain or dropping it in the snow. A must have product for my lifestyle.

In your living room. On a hike. Camping. Swimming. You name it! If you listen to music as excessively as I do, you'll want this speaker. The number of features it has is astounding. Not only does it bump loud enough to turn a funeral into a dance party, but it sounds CRISP too. Previously I had a Boombotix Boombot Pro, which while it got the job done, it would sound distorted when turned up very loud, and dwarfed in comparison to the turtle shell. For 30 extra bucks, it's well worth the upgrade. I have't been able to test the shock proof feature (hopefully never do) yet, but it seems resilient from what I've observed. I don't want to try the waterproof capabilities either, but it's reassuring knowing they exist. Initially I saw there was no clip/strap to fashion the speaker on anything... then saw they ingeniously constructed slits in the bottom of the speaker to slide webbing/any strap through, and secure it. There's also a GoPro female insert to screw into the bottom to keep it in place. I've listened to it for multiple hours on end, straight out of the box, and still haven't had to charge it due to its long battery life. If you're indecisive about the speaker to get, look no further, as you have found it!

Really great little speaker. Easy to connect and control, also very durable! Sound quality is super great, and this thing can get loud!

This speaker is good for small gatherings or BBQs but I was looking for more sound. Also I noticed when the speaker was at full blast the quality of the sound wasn't the best. Overall when I tested it, it was a good speaker but I needed a bit more.
