One of the most versatile packs in Osprey's collection, the ingeniously designed Osprey Daylite Plus Backpack is a roomy daypack that attaches to larger Osprey packs on longer adventures. The relatively compact, easy-carrying size lends itself to everything from spirited hikes up towering peaks to sightseeing along tropical coastlines and jungle ruins. It's hydration-compatible, thanks to an internal slip that fits an Osprey Hydraulics reservoir (not included), doubling as a handy spot for a smaller tablet.

The main compartment and front-access pocket eagerly swallow a windbreaker, energy bars, small gadgets, and other must-haves. There's a front organizer pocket with integrated clip for securing your keys and daily essentials. Side mesh pockets clutch water bottles for extra hydration capacity.

Enhancing its functionality for serious excursions and far-flung travel, the Daylite Plus integrates with the following Osprey packs: Aether/Ariel series, Volt/Viva series, Ace 75, Shuttle Series, Sojourn Series, Farpoint 80, and Porter series.

I use this for 4-6 hour hikes to hold water, snacks, and a light longsleeve layer - only complaint is that the side water bottle pockets are not super secure and water bottles may fall out if you bend over. It's a handy size that's not to small and flimsy, but not overkill for shorter day hikes.

This bag is super convenient! And durable! One time I was downhill long boarding and crashed, rolled onto my back and slid aways on this pack. Very very minimal damage. This bag is basically indestructible

It's a good bag for around town or day hikes. The hydration sleeve can fit a 3 liter hydration system. Lots of pockets for storage and can surprisingly hold a lot. My only complaint is the chest straps are tight if you have a bigger chest. Regardless, it's a good bag at a decent price.

I have had this pack for a few weeks now and I love it! I have brought it many places with me already and it is great. It holds just what it needs to and it has pretty good back support/ fits well!

Im 5'2 with an athletic build. I am going to have to return this item. Upon first use I realized it comes down way to far on my buns! Wire frame makes it pretty obvious. I tried to tighten the staps but then the staps were tight on my neck. I thought I might give it to my Boyfriend but upon reading the reviews, I think it is better to just return it. I like the side mesh pockets for holding water bottles and from reviews I see this does not work so well. I will try a womens version. Thanks

I'm disappointed in this pack. the shoulder straps dig into my neck in a weird way and I can't wear it at all. Otherwise it seems like a good size for a day pack and good quality. I love my other Ospry packs.

This is just a really solid day pack. It's light, compresses down easily for storage, and is durable for pretty much any day activity--except maybe caving. The 20L volume is enough space for 2 water bottles, 2 jackets, a camera, and a lunch. Honestly unless you're a bunch of heavy items, this is all you need on a day hike.

I purchased this as a nice day pack for my mother-in-law. She's been doing hikes every Tuesday with a crew. She was using a sling before this bag, but has been sending me photos of her using this pack like no other. She doesn't hike too far so it's a perfect size for her. I chose this bag so she can easily fit a reservoir if she wanted to. There's optional water bottles and big enough storage to stuff a second jacket or two in the pack. Even with the extra clothes, she is able to stores extra snacks and headlamps. This is a great bag to give as a gift!

My boyfriend needed a new bigger pack so I bought him this one. It is the perfect size and has all the right pockets! He needed a good day pack for when we are out hiking that can hold food and extra layers. This one fits everything perfectly, without being too big, and the Hydration sleeve is a plus! He has used it numerous times on the trail and loves it!! It can also double as a travel bag, which is really convenient. It is a great size and has lots of pockets to stay organized.

Now i've always loved osprey. Over the years i've used many daypacks for my daily and none have been this durable with this amount of gadgets. In other words, none have been osprey. This backpack will go to the ends of earth and back with no problem. Everything I need and want with no hinderance to performance. And not only that, it looks beautiful. I look forward to a lifetime of use from this bag. It's so good i've convinced some friends to buy it and they love it as well.

I read through a lot of reviews before i bought this for my BIL's birthday! For the price this is probably the best option out there. He has been using the same one for about 15 years and was stoked to receive this.

The pack itself is just what I wanted--good size, well made, great color.... I really, really wanted this to work for me and my rotator cuff that needs to be babied.. Alas, the sizing is just all wrong for my neck/shoulders. The straps attach at the top in a way that makes them too close to each other, digging in to the side of my neck, and the stiffened pad pokes up into my neck/bottom of head. Dropping it down off my waist didn't help--the straps were still too close together, and taking 3 steps pushed the pad back up into my neck. Sigh. So sorry to return!

The Daylite is just about the best lightweight, simple, technical daypack on the market, it works as a small travel pack, lightweight hiking pack or as a hydration pack. Osprey made an even better version, in the Daylite Plus. It is the extra volume and organization needed for day to day commuting, packing a few kid's things, carrying extra layers on a mountain bike ride, trips back and forth to the gym, and more. I recently used it as a carry on for air travel, handles a laptop, books, toiletries, water bottles, keys, charger, you get the point - fit's a bunch of stuff! I will say, when it's full with heavy items, the carrying systems/straps are a bit too soft and pliable to provide good support, but I had it pretty heavily weighted down. Overall, great quality and great function!

I’d put somewhere over 400 miles on this daypack before it was tragically stolen out of my car. This pack is ultra durable (snow, rain, scrambling/brushing against rocks) and it looked new even after three years of consistent use. I bought this pack to replace the old one – I wouldn’t consider another pack because it performed so well, the choice was easy. Getchu one and GTF OUTSIDE!

First trip out of the package for this pack was a two and a half week Medical Teams International trip all over Nepal (in February). This pack took an amazing beating and never quit! From the Besi (bottom of the mountains) to the heights of the most remote Himalayan District of Humla, this pack took it all! I used this pack as my carry on and as a "summit pack". If my Osprey Packs Aether AG 70 wasn't with me this pack was! It has replaced my prior carry-on bag for life. And, it attaches to the Osprey Packs Aether AG 70; however, not the fastest set-up for attaching (especially when both are stuffed full)! Such a great product! The only suggestion to improve your use of this pack would be to use a small carabiner to attache your water bottle, they tend to work their way out of the mesh side packets. --Patrick Bancke Portland, OR patbancke@gmail.com http://www.medicalteams.org
