The Osprey Daylite Backpack Attachment is ideal for minimalist missions, fast-paced hikes, and travel itineraries where lightweight carrying and minimal bulk is of utmost importance. It's an ingenious add-on to larger Osprey packs, specializing in carrying only the essentials when a larger pack is simply overkill. Hydration-compatibility means it'll accept an Osprey Hydraulics reservoir (not included) when you're walking long distances, ascending high altitudes, or dealing with hot climates.

Spacer Mesh shoulder straps bolster the pack without soaking you in built-up perspiration on those steamy summer days. The pack's main compartment offers panel access for quickly grabbing and stashing items on the move. Inside the main area, the internal slip works to secure your hydration reservoir, doubling as a handy space for a small tablet. As a convenient bonus, there's a front organizer pocket with integrated clip for attaching keys and other necessities.

For enhanced functionality, the Daylite attaches to the following Osprey packs: Aether/Ariel series, Volt/Viva series, Ace 75, Shuttle series, Sojourn Series, Farpoint 80, and Porter series.

I was confident buying this bag online because of the quality of Osprey bags. I ended up getting a great deal on a Fairview 40 and wanted a daypack to complement the purchase. I looked at many reviews and almost all were very much in favor of this bag. The materials and components are great, it appears, but the integrated grab handle at the top digs into my neck when worn. I weighted down my pack with books in hopes of the weight moving the handle away from my neck, making it more comfortable, but it didn't. For me, comfort right out of the gate is non- negotiable. I would hesitate to buy another Osprey bag with this integrated handle feature. Looking for another day pack.

Super comfortable for hiking or biking, and the straps adjust so smoothly! I was a little worried about the front pocket being to small for all my little things but it fits everything no problem. It honestly feels like it holds twice as much as my old 10L pack from a [non-outdoorsy] big box store. My 13" laptop fits in the main compartment (even with a sleeve on) so it will probably become my favorite travel pack too.

Honestly, I own a lot of bags, rucks, and backpacks. This is my VERY favorite day pack for traveling and day hikes. I take it to work too! It's very comfortable to wear. My Macbook Air fits in it -- pretty snug -- but it fits. I am not sure if it's waterproof. The price on Back Country was/is excellent -- thank you for that.

This is a great little day pack. I recently took it on a 10 mile hike, and it was perfect for storing water bladder, snacks, and a light jacket. If you have small items to carry and don't like purses, this would be a good alternative. I love Osprey Packs and would definitely recommend this brand.

I really, really, really, wanted to love this pack, but the shape of the strap as it rides across the neck and traps made it unwearable at any weight. I though that maybe it was riding high because I had only a few work items in there, but even a day trip load couldn’t keep the cross strap from riding my neck. Storage wise it ranks up there with most better urban or light-duty packs and I love the adjustable height chest strap!!! If I hadn’t thought that snipping that cross strap would compromise the balance on the bag, I’d have kept it for the price. Damn shame!

I purchased this backpack to take on our road trip to Nevada/Utah. It is the perfect size for me since I’m pretty small. The padded shoulders and back support were amazing. It was super easy to carry even though I had it filled with stuff. I like the design and the compartments in the front zipper area. I highly recommend it. I even purchased one for my husband because he liked mine.

This is a nice bag if you have a few things you want to take with you on a hike, or to run some errands on your bike.

This thing is super convenient. It's light weight, low profile, and comfortable. Everything you want in an everyday bag and nothing you don't.

Great daypack with superior design and quality. Very comfortable to wear on hot days because of the vented back. Attaches securely to my Osprey Porter 46 with compatable clips. I can attach loaded or empty for use when I need a daypack. Top quality material and zippers.

This is a lovely light daypack, a daylite if you will. The features are pretty but it's got everything you need for a dayhike - hydration compatibility, plenty of space for a rain layer/camera/goodies, comfortable mesh. I like the integrated clip in the front loader to attach gear to. Also, a fantastic price point. It's minimalist without feeling light at all on usability.

This pack is great for short day hikes where you want to be hands-free and have your essentials with you. It's a lot more minimal than other Osprey packs which I'm actually a fan of. Most of the time I don't carry a lot with me and just want a few things with me. The 13 liter is great for a thin layer, snacks, a couple water bottles, keys, and sunglasses. It carries comfortably and I love the thin hip belt. It doesn't do much for support, but does keep the pack close to my body which makes it more comfortable. It has a nice, flexible back panel which keeps the pack from collapsing in on itself when it's not stuffed to capacity. It also keeps things from digging into your back if you have some bulkier items inside. Overall, a good go-to for a minimal day pack if you're looking for something to carry your essentials!

I love this bag because you can easily pack all of your essentials while being comfortable and light. The bag actually has great organization inside, both pockets are surprisingly large and each one has some internal organization. There are two water bottle pockets on the sides, I like to use one for a water bottle and the other for a quick grab pocket. The compression straps help keep everything from sloshing around. Overall a great hiking pack or quick summit pack!

I just got this as my new hiking pack. It is perfect! Not too big and not too small. I like how it is low profile and fits everything I need to hit the trails. It is nice for biking to and from work occasionally too. Definitely would recommend!

This is a pretty cool bag. It's a little larger than anticipated but that is an added bonus. I like that it's hydration compatible. It's the perfect bag for day hikes, commutes to and from work, used as a carry on for traveling and just all around use. I was pleasantly surprised with the 13L pack. You can fit a good amount of stuff into this bag!

This is a great pack for those longer day hikes or bike rides. Can fit quite a bit in this bag to ensure you have everything you need. Not too heavy or bogged down and fits perfectly.

Really nice bag for quick day trips. comfortable and lightweight. The only thing I didn't like was I thought the "Tahoe Blue" looked more purple-ish in the picture, but it is a deep sky blue. No purple at all.

I love this pack. I needed a day pack because I was using an oversized school backpack that kept giving me chafe marks on my collar bone from the straps. I'm happy to report this pack has great straps that do not pinch or cause any issues! It's finally nice to have a lightweight pack. It seems obvious, but you don't realize how much every ounce of weight matters until you get legit, lightweight gear. I also got the water bladder that goes with this pack. I don't know why I waited so long to get a water bladder.. I can cut my hike times way down with a bladder because I'm not constantly pulling out my water bottle. I can keep moving and drinking at the same time. I highly recommend this pack and the bladder that goes with it!

Bought this as a gift for a family member, but not before trying it out. It. Is. Awesome. Totally getting one for myself, or swapping it out for a Chili's gift card.
