Don't mess around in bear country—hang your food out of reach with the MSR Ultralight Cord. This 10-meter nylon cord features four line tensioners that make rigging a breeze. 200-pound tensile strength ensures high levels of durability for hanging heavy loads. Additionally, it can be used to guy out a tarp before pouring rain turns your campsite into a muddy mess. And to prevent you from tripping around dark campsites, the line's reflective exterior enhances visibility when nature calls in the middle of the night.

This is good versatile cord and has many uses around camp. I tend to keep a bundle on me at all times when hiking or camping as it often seems to come in useful. I've used it to guy out tents and tarps, hang laundry, and hang bear bags, I find it's just strong enough for all that without being too thick. The reflectivity is an excellent bonus.

This is all you need. I have used this for countless bear-hangs, clothing and tarp lines. It is strong and it weighs nothing. Well worth it, I always take it with me on backpacking trips.

I recently used the rope to set up a bear bag for several nights. I was impressed to see that it could withstand the weight of some of our food at 12' in height.

Was hoping to use to cut some weight out of my backpacking set up. Took it out on an overnight in the Yellowstone Backcountry and it snapped retrieving our bear hang the next morning. The combined weight of the hung gear could not have been more than 15 lbs. The CamRing Cord Tensioners work like a dream though, otherwise this would be a 1-star review.

Great cord for lightweight duty. Use it for guylines mainly.
