Brandish the MSR Alpine Kitchen Knife and prep your camping meals faster than ever. Stainless steel construction helps this knife stand up to seasons of use, and the square tip helps this knife slide easily and safely into one of the pockets on your backpacking bag. Sure, your multi-tool might have a blade, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Alpine Knife.

Sharp, light, and comes with a sheath. Various color options keep you from getting your camping gear mixed up with your buddy's.

This. knife. is. amazing. This knife is so sharp, sharper than all my kitchen knives - it cuts potatoes and onions like butter! You actually have to be careful you don't cut your finger off so cut with care. Every time I break this out at the campsite my friends are amazed and so jealous. I already have two, I believe the first one came in an MSR kitchen kit and then I got a second one sold on its own because everyone is always asking to borrow my knife and now my partner and i can make dinner together instead of waiting to share the knife. I just got one for my friend for his birthday who is a fellow camp chef, and I will probably order more for my friends as birthdays pass. It makes for a great cheap gift for friends and siblings, and a great stalking stuffer. *don't toss the lid - with how sharp the knife is the lid is necessary for storing!

This knife is sharper than any knife I use in my kitchen, feels sturdy enough to last for years, and weighs way less than you'd expect it to. I'm glad I went with this instead of a standard kitchen knife for my car camping kit.

Great knife. Realky light. I love the plastic sheath as it keeps things safe inside my kitchen box.

I absolutely love this knife! I picked it up to put in the camp box and was extremely surprised at how well made this knife is made. It is super light weight, incredibly sharp, and the cover makes it easy to store anywhere! Easy to pack, store, and use. Everything you need!

This MSR alpine knife is super lightweight, durable, and holds an edge really well. What more could you ask for in respect to a backpacking and camping kitchen knife!

So far this is my preferred knife on hiking trips. It cuts well and is lightweight. I do not like the flimsy holster. Also, the steel is very basic and too thin in my opinion, which makes it great when it is new, but sharpening it is not super easy. This said I'm still waiting for a better kitchen hiking knife to come out on the market, and for now, I do recommend it, and it is also of good value for the money.

This knife is the perfect length for any cooking activities while camping. I have never used a more perfect knife. And just to add, I've usually used the knifes attached to other multi tools when I camp but holy crap, it is soooo much better to have a stand alone knife.

Bought this to outfit our new camp kitchen. It works great. It's light weight, easy to clean, and sharp. Have used it to cut onions, peppers, avocado, and bread and it worked great. Despite not being serrated, it cut through the bread really well. Highly recommend.

A few weeks ago, my friends invited me to their house for dinner. It was a dirtbag's dream: Pillsbury pizza dough and some cheap toppings. When it came time to cut our gourmet 'za, my friends struggled over and over again to cut it with one of their dull knives. So, I decided that they needed the MSR Alpine Kitchen Knife. Outcome: they love it! They use it indoors and outdoors and say that it's sharp, lightweight, and an all-around awesome knife.

This is a great buy! The protective sheath is a nice touch to prevent accidental cuts. Necessary piece for the camping box.

If you're into the whole brevity thing: this knife cuts stuff. The rest of the story: this knife really takes an edge with a DMT sharpener. I've been able to get it scary sharp before multiday trips and it keep its edge the whole time. It's easy to clean. The sheath does it job as far as protecting the edge, but it allows dirt and dust to get to the blade while stored.

I use this a lot for car camping, not backpacking. Knife stays very sharp all the times. Make sure you clean it right away and keep it dry. Don't let water to sit on it too long or it will rust. Very common for a lot of knife. This knife cuts like a pro.

This knife is great for all around use. I bought it primarily for backpacking, but find myself using it at home too. It's a little bit smaller in size which makes it compact and lightweight, and the blade cover is perfect for traveling.

This is a great camp knife choice! It is a little smaller- if you are looking for a larger chopping knife, I recommend the Alpine Chef's Knife. But as far as a small car-camp knife goes, this is your ticket. Chops well, and it's super nice that it comes with it's own case.
