Bundle up for snowy pow days with the Mountain Hardwear Firefall 2 Jacket. Thanks to its burly face fabric and waterproof construction, the outer shell repels the elements and harsh, icy winds. Placing strategic 160D nylon paneling in areas that see abuse from skis over the shoulder and stray branches, the jacket is able to save on weight while remaining durable. Plus this thoughtful fabric placement means you can maintain a comfortable range of motion, so you don't feel restricted when breaking trail to skin up the mountain, or throwing down on a sidecountry booter.

I'm 5'8 and ordered a small. The sleeves were too for me, unfortunately - returned. But if you're a tall, thin guy, this jacket would be good for you.

Mountain Hardwear Firefall 2 Jacket- Men’s Size: Large Color: Void Disclaimer: I haven’™t used it on the mountain yet, nor have I been able to test the waterproofing capabilities. However, this jacket feels, looks, and seems incredibly well made. I’m pretty picky with my outdoor gear and clothing, and wanted a lasting jacket that felt and looked great, along with performing up to standard, and I think this jacket will be just that. I ordered a The North Face Repko ski jacket at first, but returned it because it was much too long and didn’t feel right. Then I found this on sale, and I’m very happy I did. It is the perfect length, not too long and not too short. It looks awesome in my opinion- the thumb loops, neck protection, and colors are great. It fits really great too, not too loose or anything, and is very comfortable. it has enough room to layer underneath it, which is why I ordered the non-insulated version (to be able to choose how many under-layers I want). I’ve been wearing it a few days in the upper 30s (Fahrenheit) and it’s plenty warm with just a cotton hoodie underneath. It’s got every feature I would want in a ski jacket: thump loops, a powder skirt which can button into the jacket and keep out of the way if you don’t want to use it, tough Waterproof nylon, plenty of pockets in the right places including a small zip pocket on the left arm, an inner pocket for a phone or iPod which has a small hole for headphones, a helmet compatible and detachable hood, warm and waterproof, looks great, underarm vents, and many adjustable areas including the waist and hood. I’m going to the mountains soon, and will try to remember to update the review.

I bought this jacket for my brother for skiing. He has told me this has been one of the best jackets he has worn. It is thin but at the the same time very warm and keeps you dry.

I just received the size large after returning the size medium because it was too small in the shoulders and sleeve length for my 6'0, 175 lbs body. Size up, especially if you are tall. Have not had it in the elements yet. Can't wait to get it on the mountain, but initial impressions are outstanding.

A number of things makes this a great shell. The hood zips off which is really nice for sunny days. The collar is quite tall so it covers my face up to my lower lip when zipped up all the way. The sleeves are a perfect length and wide enough to fit over my different glove types. No unnecessary flaps on zippers that would just flap in the wind. Haven't used the second of 2 sleeve pockets but I do always use one of them for my pass. Won't buy a jacket with a sleeve pocket down by the wrist. Best place to put a pass with an RF chip. Good freedom of movement, long enough but not too long.

I had to return my XL Fire Fall Jacket for an XXL. The return was smooth and I got it out the next day after your printing label was downloaded. Your online Gearhead Chat got me all the information I needed to make this return successful. My new jacket arrived within two days after you sent me word that my return had arrived. Thanks for exemplary Customer Service. I send my love to all of you on Valentine's Day!
