I would have given this water bottle a full 5 stars, but the straw threads are rather picky about needing to be absolutely perfectly aligned to be able to use the straw attachment. Other than that, it kept my water icy cold on the beach in the hot sun.

The Mizu water bottle / filtration combination is great for extended day hikes and overnight trips! The size of the bottle is sleek and slim, and easily fits in the water bottle holders of backpacks or inside a stuffed pack. I really like that the spout is rubber and is comfortable to sip on unlike some other harder plastic spouts. Also, inside the bottle, the straw screws into the lid so it stays connected! The water filter attachment works great and doesn't change the taste of the water! Set up is super easy as it just screws into the inside of the lid and its all very small and compact which is super convenient. When I went on my overnight trip, I left the straw at home and just packed the filter. Because the size of the water bottle is small and you can't transfer the water after its been filtered, I only recommend this for overnight trips, extended day hikes near water sources, and for trips out of the country with questionable water, but it sure is super convenient for these occasions!
