From dawn patrols in the mountains to chilly hikes on drizzly afternoons, the Marmot Women's Featherless Insulated Jacket is a streamlined insulated piece for layering up in the cold, damp conditions encountered in late autumn through winter months. 3M Thinsulate Featherless insulation packs high levels of warmth that's equivalent to 700-fill down insulation. Unlike down insulation however, these synthetic fibers retain lofting power through condensation and moisture-soaked environments to keep you warm as you explore wet environments.

Marmot's Zippin compatibility gives you the control to layer properly with compatible Marmot shells, meaning you can wear this insulated piece while skiing, snowboarding, and climbing in downright nasty conditions and demanding alpine routes. For easy packing, the jacket folds into the internal-zip pocket, which is especially useful for tossing it in your pack before travel and backcountry use. Moreover, Marmot's Angel Wing patterning promotes full range of motion for outdoor activities like climbing, skiing, and hiking.

I exchanged this from a medium to a small and it fits great. I am 5'5" approximately 130#. Crossing arms in front of body has a good snug feeling but not tight. Length is good and sleeve length is perfect in my opinion, just a little past knuckle length. Customer service was top notch!

Love the design of this Marmot jacket. Very flattering for a formfitting hourglass shape yet still has good range of movement in the shoulders/sleeves. The jacket keeps me warm to 20 degrees or so, depending on humidity, wind, and level of activity (if I'm in the city and it gets colder, I'd rather wear a coat.) Stitching detail and pattern makes the jacket look sleek and great. My only complaint is that a few times the nonfeather filling has poked out. (Don't pull it, they're not feathers and might come out in strings. Pull it back in from the other side.) Washes well in machine gentle and keeps its shape. Still looks great after several months of wear. I wouldn't size up but stayed to my usual size; if you're in between, I'd go smaller. Lots of compliments for this one.

I bought this coat for my daughter, and she loves it! I got the extra small in black, and it fits quite snuggly with a merino wool baselayer and a light fleece underneath. She likes it that way, but I would have sized up. It's very flattering and does not look boxy at all (common for down jackets). It's very light, yet warm, and best of all, no feathers!

I’m 5’-4” 125. I orders xs. If you want to layer up you may need to go one size up. Chest area is a little thought. I wanted a light ,warm and a fitted jacket that easy to use around town. This is my favorite jacket now-very flattering , super light, not too warm but warm enough to purpose I’m using it for.

This jacket is super lightweight, surprisingly soft, and really warm. I bought the size XS. I can still fit a few layers underneath if necessary. I actually have allergies to down so this is a great alternative. Also I like that its Vegan, thus no goose harmed in the making.

This jacket has virtually replaced all of my other outdoor/adventure jackets. It is super light, packs down with plenty of room in a daypack and it is every bit as warm as my Patagonia packable down. I've recently worn this jacket in the desert (in the winter months) and was warm with only a thin athletic shirt underneath.

I love this jacket because it's so light! Winter jackets tend to make me feel restricted and heavy but not this one. You can barely feel the jacket when you're wearing it and it's functional. I don't feel restrained in any way. The fit is very flattering as well. I love that it is featherless. Feeling it you'd think it was down but no feathers will poke out of this guy. If you're looking for a light layering insulation piece or a cozy light jacket for mild winters this is a great option.

This jacket is AWESOME! Puffy jackets that are form fitting and feminine are hard to come by these days. This jacket does the trick keeping your girlish figure as well as keeping you warm. I cannot stress enough how warm this jacket is. A few weeks ago I traveled a few hours away from home and did not expect the temps to be as low as they ended up getting. High 30 temps turned into 20's and I seriously doubted this jacket. To my surprise, it kept me extremely warm, even with the biting wind. Lightweight, Packable, Warm, Feminine - what more could you ask for! Give me a call or email me with any specific questions!

This jacket has it all! It is very warm, packable, durable, and looks great. I could wear this in a small or medium. I decided to go with the small plans of wearing only a thin layer beneath. Glad I did because it's so warm that's all I need! The Red Dahlia color is much more magenta than bright red and it is very pretty!

This jacket is amazing. I have taken it to New York with me as my only jacket to walk around the cold shady city and it was so warm and so comfortable. It is one of the most versatile jackets I own, because I can wear it hiking and put it right in the wash thanks to the featherless technology! It runs just a bit big which is great for layering but if you like it snug I would recommend sizing down. Let me know if I can help you pick out the right sizing.

Super light and easy to throw in the pack as an emergency layer on long days in the mountains. I do get extra sweaty in this, as the breath-ability isn't the best under the arms - so this is a good piece to have for windy and super cold temps under a shell if skiing / mountaineering.

If there is such a thing a too warm in a jacket, this would win. But there is no such thing in my world. This coat is so WARM! I love it!! And it is instantly warm, unlike down which takes longer to warm up. I sized down on this, which I normally do for mid layers. At 5 foot 8 and 135 pounds, Im a solid medium in ski jackets, but the small is perfect in this one! And the turquoise color is even better in person. I gave it 4 stars because I do not know how it will wash or last. I will have to update this later.

This jacket is comparable in every way to your traditional puffy down jacket, but it's made with a synthetic 3M Thinsulate material that saves the lives of many geese. It's packable, cozy, warm, and flattering. I use it for everyday wear, and sometimes for layering while in the backcountry. If you're one who tends to sweat, this is a fantastic alternative that won't wet out on you in the backcountry or on your technical mountain pursuit. The durability factor is key as well! At first I wasn't sure about the fit, but then I added some layers, and I've been playing around with different combos. This is definitely a great piece for layering. Highly recommended. This jacket is AMAZING! The warmth is comparable to my 750-fill down jacket, but it's nearly half the size. It's lightweight and super packable (it even stuffs into its own pocket) so it has been perfect for travel. It's a great layering piece. The fit is a bit tailored (this can be seen in the product images showing the back of the jacket), I typically wear a small but choose to size down to an XS so I can comfortably fit a wool baselayer + thin fleece underneath and wear the jacket as a midlayer. When the weather turns foul, I'll throw a technical shell over top to make it water and wind proof. Great for casual and active wear! I've washed it twice and it still looks, feels, and wears like brand new. I was not a fan of the baffle construction at first, but it is rather flattering on a variety of body types. It stands out from every other puffy on the market, and has a bit of style, without being too loud. The "Late Night" blue color is more vibrant that shown in the photo, but is is a welcome pop of color to the dreary winter landscape! Can't wait to ski in this jacket this season!
