Gear up with a heavy backpack, the Mammut Women's Trovat Advanced High GTX Boot, and a long, rugged hike into the alpine. Mammut made this boot to withstand rugged terrain under wet conditions, with a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane inside the durable nubuck leather upper. Cushy Nappa leather encompasses the collar, while the soft textile lining ensures long-lasting comfort. Mammut's 3 Zone Lacing ensures a secure fit specific to your foot's shape.

The Trovat Advanced also features Mammut's Rolling Concept that provides a natural heel-to-toe movement, and Motion Control gives the support required for rough trails. Its FeetMap insole conforms to your foot to reduce pressure points, and Memo Foam gives great cush underfoot. Vibram's MT Traction II sole offers reliable traction from dirty trailheads to rocky summits.

I purchased these because they seemed very similar to my previous Mammut hiking boot, which they don't make anymore, but lasted through 6 seasons of really heavy use. Unfortunately, I've had these about a year, wearing them 1-2 times a week for moderate hiking, and they're already breaking down and are no longer even water-resistant. Also, they're something up with the fit that seems to make my feet pronate outward, causing me weird knee pain. Sigh. I just want my old boots back.
