We got these for our 5.5yo. They run a little smaller than his street shoes (ended up going one size higher than the bigger size the Size Chart suggested. These seem comfortable, and they do grip like climbing shoes. The grip, combined with having “real climbing shoes” (it’s all about the gear!) helped Kiddo overcome his limits and climb a couple of moves higher than he had previously. He also seems to enjoy climbing more. The green/yellow looks great; nice bright contrast. He didn’t like how the dark red monochrome looked.

I even ordered a half size up and still too small. Pretty annoyed that I have to pay for a return on them. Won't be ordering climbing shoes from Back Country again.

Bought these for my little 4 year old nephew. He loves them. Great shoe for little kids who do a bit of climbing.

These fit great and they are reasonably priced. When you consider it's $5-$10 to rent a pair of kids climbing shoes these make a lot of sense to buy. Not to mention once your kid has used them a few times they get more comfortable and better molded to their feet.

I gave these to my niece because she is always talking about climbing and mesmerized by the walls at the gym and pictures of people climbing outside. She loved her first day out with these shoes, they were comfortable for her and left her some room to grow but definitely have the functionality to help her up the wall.

These were for my twin 5 yr old boys who just got into climbing. They have really allowed them to gain confidence with the grip on the wall. They love the look and I love the ease of getting them on and off. They tighten really well and feel secure on their feet. Plenty of room to grow. We went up a shoe size and it was a perfect fit.

Got these after my 6 & 7 yr. olds showed an interest in climbing. They are a HUGE courage booster over climbing in any other footwear. First climb out of the gate both kiddos shot up a 5.7 like it was a ladder. The straps are great and allow for some adjustment so the kids can share a pair, but they only go about 1 US kids' shoe size smaller.

She wears a size 7 toddler shoe and the 26/27 size in the Stickit fits her big, but is plenty snug to stay on her foot. It has been super fun to watch her climb when we take her bouldering with us as she will occasionally come up with moves that make me think she's been doing this forever (of course sometimes she also demands treats in order to proceed so it's give and take). Get these shoes and, at very least, your little one will be stoked to have shoes like you.

5 stars for sure! The fun bright yellow and green colors are amazing, every kid loves the look. Once a kid puts on a comfortable climbing shoe and start climbing they instantly feel like a rock star vs using there regular shoe. The adjustable heel and lacing system helps you get a snug fit but always allows your child's foot to grow and the shoes will still fit. Rubber is extremely nice and very durable.

I bought a pair for my 5-yr-old. Aside from the fact that climbing shoes this small are adorable, these shoes work as they should. My son wore them to the gym, and he wore me out. (I figured he'd last for 15 minutes, but he spent more than an hour at the kids' bouldering wall.) He likes how they look, and they fit well. They're easy to get on and off, and the hook-n-loop closure lets him adjust the fit. The lace that goes around the back is attached to the closure, so the whole shoe fits snugly. I bought a bit large, as other reviewers suggest, and they fit now yet have room to grow.

We ordered these 1 size bigger than my son's shoe size (recommended by backcountry.com chat) and they are plenty big - but still work great.

My 3 kids(ages 3, 5, 5) had used various rental shoes and one of the 3 always found some part of the shoe to be uncomfortable. I also found most other kids shoes to have poor to average reviews. These shoes are awesome. They are comfortable and work well, which means my kids want to go climbing all the time. My kids were instantly more confidant on foot holds vs. using their street shoes. I love the way the heel strap is connected to the foot strap so that it snugs up all at once. We were able to get the shoes a little big to make room for growing feet and found these shoes to be perfectly snug without being sloppy.

My friend just got these and she absolutely loves them. It's great to get kids started early! Climbing is more than just a sport, it's an exercise in creative problem solving, great physical exercise, and more importantly, way too much fun!
