I found this top quite scratchy which I was surprised by considering the other reviews stating that it is so soft. Had to return.

Really like these tops along with all the other Kari Traa rose design merino wool base layers. The material quality is very good. Nice durable feel and has held up really well to daily wear and frequent washing. No stink like with plastic and the design is just next level cool and pretty. Iā€™m a muscular 5ā€™9ā€ 205 lbs, 38C and the XL fits great.

Gift for Partner: First, love the hood and use it when skiing to create a seamless, draftless connection all the way up into my helmet. This seems to be the heavy-weight of the Kari Traa family with Tikse being the lightest-weight and Akle being the mid-weight. The colors and paneling make this a fully functional piece that is just as flattering after activity in the bar or lodge. I'm 5'8

This is my fourth pair of Kari Traa baselayers and I love them! They are warm, stretchy, and the designs are just so cute. I always get compliments on them when I wear them apres. They fit pretty true to size although I do wish they were a titch longer in the torso

From the mountain, to the office, to apres, this baselayer is money. Super soft wool to keep you warm and it fits well for athletic women. Sizing can be tricky as it is definitely more of nordic sizing (Think skinny and tall), so you might need to size up. Completely worth it in my opinion. I've never had a baselayer fit so well! And be so cute!

Gave this to my girlfriend so she could have a new base layer for skiing. She loves the design and fit. This is an essential mid layer for anyone looking to own up to some style on and off the hill. Its the perfect thickness in a mid layer, yet nicely snug without be restrictive. Great quality that will hold the initial shape after several washes.

I own four Kari Traa baselayers, including this Rose hoodie. I love that these are not only warm, functional base layers (or even layered over a tank) for colder weather activities, but that they can also be paired with jeans. I'm not very tall (5'3") and while the fit is great, I find the length a bit short in the torso. I have coverage, but I would be concerned about anyone taller that is trying to tuck this underneath their pants or bending over. I would opt for longer fitting base layers for (ice) climbing or skiing than KT. For snowshoeing and hiking you won't be bothered by this unless your pack bunches it up and isn't adjusted right.. You can't really pull the sleeves up much either. However, despite these ergonomic and design drawbacks, the fabric is soft, supple, keeps me warm and washes well. One of my friends' boyfriends bought her a KT base layer and she loves it. She's a bit shorter than me and the length looked great for her. The picture shows a different product, but shows how the length is.

Truth be told, haven't worn this to ski yet because it's early in the season but I know it will be my go to piece. I'll try and come back and update this review this winter! I have a Medium in this layer and it fits perfectly. It is slimming but it's not next layer of skin tight. I've worn it this fall to camp and it's perfect during chilly days and then with a down jacket over it during the evenings. If you're looking for a baselayer with a great fit, performance, and aesthetic, Kari Traa is the way to go! Designed by ladies, for ladies. Give me a call if you have any questions 801-204-4694.

I ordered a bunch of tops in anticipation of winter, including this one. I was so sure I"d like it that I ordered the non-hooded version as well. But both tops were way too long, as were the sleeves. The top was form fitting, rather than a slim, but not tight fit like I was hoping for. But the biggest problem was that the material was super scratchy. I ordered several different merino tops, and this brand was by far the scratchiest. If you have no sensitivity to wool, and you're tall, then this might be just the top for you.

I gave this top to my girlfriend and she loves it! She's worn it under a vest on some cooler days while climbing this fall. The hood is an awesome addition for when the wind picks up or if you're just standing around in the cool weather. The hood is nice and form fitting and fits under a helmet. She's stoked to have it for skiing this winter. It's a great quality, functional base layer for high adventure pursuits but also a stylish piece to be worn casually.

I love this top. In fact, I bought it in both navy and ebony. The colors are beautiful. The fit is flattering, and it feels nice and warm. I wear it hiking in the mornings (about 50 degrees) as a baselayer by itself and it's perfect. Doesn't get wet or stinky. But most importantly, it'a super cute!!!!!! Not scratchy at all. Now I want the cute matching leggings.

I just got this top and I love it. The pattern is super cute and the wool isn't scratchy. I got the Ebony color and it goes with everything. I plan on wearing it skiing as a base layer, but it also looks great with jeans. I followed the washing instructions and washed it in cold and hung it to dry. It didn't shrink at all. I am normally a large and I would say it fits true to size or a little on the small side. I am thinking about ordering the pants to match because I love the pattern so much!
