I love this base layer! I never knew wool could be so soft. I use it as my sleeping layer when I go backpacking. I've also hiked in it to the top of half dome and it helped keep me warm but not sweaty. I'm confident that this layer will also be great for skiing in this winter. I will update later on if so. 😎

I purchased this to replace my old Ice Breaker Basics baselayer. I chose to go with this was as it was a bit heavier than my previous and I tend to get cold easy. This has not disappointed yet as it is comfortable and functional at the same time. I like the mesh parts that allow for some ventillation when wearing. I wore this the other day while hiking in 30 degree temps with my kids and it worked perfect; keeping me warm and dry. I also tend to wear this baselayer just casually as well and when I go to the gym. It is great for layering and warming up when I go workout or teach a class. I am still getting used to teh half zip as I don't always like things on my neck but it definitely isn't something I complain about either. The fit is pretty true to size - I am 5'4 and flucuate between 112 - 118lbs, more athletic build; a small worked great for me. I don't like the tops to be incredibly tight and this size was not - it was fitted but not too much and definitely not too loose. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who gets cold easily.

I'm a wool covert from an icebreaker piece 2 years back. Nowadays, its all I ski in let alone wear casually. Bought a 260 zone (what seems to be Icebreaker's heaviest weight) because I run cold. I love the fit and the mesh zoning in certain areas! It keeps me warm and cozy when skiing up & down the mountain...almost to the point I become unaware of the cold when active...
