Favored by ultralight backpackers, packrafters, and alpinists alike, the 4400 Porter Backpack is Hyperlite Mountain Gear's largest and most minimalist pack for week-long adventures. With a 70L capacity, the Porter has enough space for weeks on rivers or in the alpine. Hyperlite Mountain Gear made this pack out of the same Dyneema fabric used in climbing gear for long-lasting durability without the weight.

Unique to Hyperlite Mountan Gear, the Porter's Dyneema Hardline suspension system lines the shoulder straps, waist belt, and back panel in foam padding and spacer mesh for breathable comfort, and there's an internal framesheet as well as removable aluminum stays for stability when you need it. The Porter has a roll-top closure and taped seams for protection against wet weather and snowy grounds. There are also daisy chain attachments for ice axes and other climbing gear, and zippered pockets for valuables and electronics.

I used this backpack in the central Andes with heavy loads. The performance was impeccable, the backpack has a high-level finish and is undoubtedly the best backpack I have ever used for heavy loads, even though they weigh so little. The Porter 4400 is the best option for this scenario due to the need of carrying double boots outside, where you can easily hold it with the side straps, and you also win two free bottle holders (photo)!

I use the HMG porter packs for all adventures. Backcountry skiing in the winter, to packrafting in the summer. These are the most versatile packs I've ever used.

I can't say enough good things about Hyperlite. From my Echo II shelter to my UltaMid 4....stuff sacks to now this pack...simply the best! The Hyperlite pods fit perfectly (sold separately). Light weight. Your gear stays dry. Comfortable. And almost no one else has it...but every one else wishes they did once they see it. Lots of space and great accessories that can be added on.

This pack is incredible! Super durable, light, and comfy. You can customize it to with pack straps, a pocket, and bottle holders. This thing can compress down really small too for shorter trips. And its light enough for a day pack. Best all around pack I've ever owned. Thanks to the awesome staff at backcountry for helping me pick this pack out!

Boating, rafting, skiing, climbing, backpacking, this pack can and will do it all. Order the pockets if you're a hiker. If you're not, strap everything to the outside. Incredibly durable, lightweight, and waterproof. You don't even need a pack liner. I'll be ordering this pack again when it wears out... If it wears out.
