Don't over-grip your ski poles prior to dropping the fall line. Hold them gently in the Hestra Men's Leather Fall Line Mitten, point your planks down, and close your eyes if you're really that scared. Made with a durable impregnated cowhide, and stuffed with a synthetic Fiberfill insulation, these babies have what it takes to keep your hands warm and dry this winter season. these gloves are amazing. Like some reviews have said, they do run small. For reference, I am just over 5 feet tall and pretty small... and I got a size 8. It’s good to have about 1/4 of an inch of room between your fingers and the gloves. To make sure they last a long time, make sure to apply the leather balm. It absorbs better if you get the gloves warm by either hanging above a heat vent for a minute or two, or even lightly blow dying them. Happy hands=happy adventuring!

I followed the instructions on sizing and measured my hand but the size that was recommended was much too small. I had to return the mittens and order a larger size. Hopefully the next size up fits better, they look like excellent mittens.

The Fall Line Mitts are my favorite ski glove. I found the sizing is spot on after following Hestra’s sizing instructions (measure around widest part of hand). These mitts have kept my hands warm and dry on sub-freezing degree days at the resort. The leather comes pretty soft and supple, which only gets better with use! The inside of the mitt is a soft fleece and the fingers are also lined, so it’s not an ‘open’ mitt style. I also like that Hestra includes leather balm to treat them with. My only complaint is on days 0-10F, my fingertips can feel cold - this is easily fixed with a thin merino liner.

Cant go wrong with these! Just replaced some Hestras I had for 7 years with these. Always the best quality. I have used these down to 15 degrees no liner and they work out fine for me.

Its a Hestra mit, so quality was expected. These bad boys have kept my hands warm on several occasions already. With the crazy winter we are having I have used them in conditions from 5 degrees to 30 degrees, and they do fine either way! I did size up for liners, but have not even had to use them yet. The mitts seem nice and durable as they should. My last Hestras lasted 3 seasons of hard wear, and I look forward to the same from these!

World class; if you want to own one pair of mittens for the rest of your life, these ones are it. There’s insulation to keep my hands warm, but not too much so I can still have mobility. That’s an important factor for me when I am always on the go on the mountain.

I gave these as a gift and this is what the recipient had to say: I love these fall line mitts, they keep me warm all day. I treated mine right away and plan to regularly with the leather balm provided to ensure they stay in great shape. Inside the mittens are finger separations, which I like. I have a medium sized hand, I choose size 9 so i can wear liners if the temps dip really low . All and all, everything you expect from a company like hestra

Absolutely love these gloves. I've always suffered with cold hands but even when it was -20, these things kept my hands toasty. The wrist closure is great, and easily fits underneath your jacket cuff. Whilst the leather is super-soft, I do wish they had some tougher/none leather material on the palm. I do wonder whether they will wear from my bindings.

The leather is so soft, I was surprised by how waterproof the gloves are! I’ve already used the gloves 10+ days with a few below 0 degree days, and my hands have not gotten cold at all. Fit is supposed to match your shoe size, so I ordered a size 9 and they fit a bit bigger (probably sized for men’s since they’re unisex)

This Mitten is winner for sure. The full leather exterior has always something I have been partial too and the Hestra leather is super soft and supple. I love that the finger area is separated like sliding your hand into a baseball glove. I love mittens but do not like my fingers touching, makes me sweat to much. These take all of that out of the equation. I bought them in the Red/Grey option and I feel like I am a professional boxer, they look so sick. I was a little bummed they did not come with the Hestra wrist/hand cuff but thankfully we stock them at Backcountry so I just bought them after the fact. I like being able to hang my gloves from my wrists while on the chairlift. **Make sure to treat your gloves regularly to keep the leather soft and improve water resistance.

The Fall Line is a tough mitten to beat. Low profile, stylish, and super warm. The quality and build of the mittens is also bar none the best I have ever worn. Though they are a mitten, the inside fingers are still seperated within a liner. I was hesitant at that fact early on, however after wearing them for the past two season, I really enjoy that they have individual fingers on the inside and havent noticed any temp difference. Note: These mittens dont come with a wrist gaiter, so either be a bum like me and make your own, or grab some Hestra cuffs to attach. Don't forget to wax these puppies in order to keep them hydrated!

If you are a skier/snowboarder, then you will love these. I complained about my smith gloves to a cousin and he recommended me towards these. I was wary that they didn't need another inner glove liner, but you definitely don't need it. My hands are always warm and I like that these are durable as I put my gloves through the ringer.

My boyfriend and I own a couple different pairs of Hestra gloves and absolutely love them! The leather is good quality and the liner keeps you warm during the cold lift lines and riding the lifts!

I wore these gloves for over 75 days on snow the last two seasons. Not only are these mittens built with incredibly soft and durable leather that takes a beating, but the warmth factor is out of this world. These Mittens kept my digits toasty in conditions up to -20 degrees, before I needed to add a liner for extra warmth. The soft leather and interior materials make it a pleasure to wear all day with no discomfort, or uncomfortable seams. The only drawback is that you need to retreat the leather with the special Leather Balm(Comes with the gloves), or from Graingers to ensure they keep there waterproof quality. As a snowboard instructor, the Hestra Fall Line mittens hold up tough to the day in and day out use. I Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid mitten that wont let you down when you need it most.

What more needs to be said. Awesome Hestra quality and they fit is great. It has to be pretty cold to bring these babies out as they are really warm.

After buying my first pair of Hestra's over a decade ago, I have never looked back. They easily last upwards of 5 seasons with maintenance. I bought these to have a mitten option instead of my normal 5 finger gloves. These are even warmer! Same quality and feel as any Hestra. Highly recommend!

I have recently purchase these mittens and they are the best gloves I have ever purchased! I bought them for my trip in Alaska and they kept my hands warm during extremely low temps. The leather is amazing quality and is extremely durable. I highly recommend purchasing these mittens or any other gloves from Hestra!
