Apart from being high and rocky, the Rocky Mountains are known for being bitterly cold, so suit up with the Hestra Women's Heli Mittens when you venture out to ski some cold Rocky Mountain powder. Built with soft leather and a waterproof, breathable membrane, these mittens will keep your hands dry and remain intact after a long season of skiing. For warmth, Hestra insulated these gloves with a fleece liner that can be removed and dried out after a snowy day, and it added Fiberfill insulation for reliable warmth and comfort in seriously cold conditions. Hestra gave the Helis a slimmer profile for a more women-specific fit, and a hook-and-loop wrist strap ensures a snug and secure fit.

My wife always has cold hands and we have tried multiple mittens. She loves these! Quality materials and she hasn't complained about cold fingers in these yet! The only way to go warmer might be to get a pair of down expedition mitts but those typically don't do well in wet conditions. If you need an all weather mitten that will last for a long time, here ya go.

I have tried all kinds of gloves to keep my hands and fingers warm - while resisting going with the "lobster claw". But since I could not find a 5 finger appendage warmer, I bought these and thankfully they work great! If you are just walking the dog and need to keep your hands warm - these will do the trick! I highly recommend them!!

I have very poor circulation in my fingers and toes and have a very tough time keeping warm usually when in the snow, but despite this pre-existing condition I wasn't cold at all with these mittens! I would recommend these to anyone!

I measured per the instructions and the mittens were too small. I returned them and haven’t replaced them yet so no real review but I would size up.

These were a gift for my wife... she struggles with cold hands while skiing. These have kept her hands warm and she loves the vibrant red color.

Love these gloves! The only thing they don't have straight from the factory is a good weather proofing/conditioning on the leather. I used a pitch type paste to rub into the leather parts to make them a little more weatherproof and help the leather. They are super comfortable and easy on/off which is really nice for those quick bits you need nimble fingers for. Would definitely recommend.

I originally got a pair of hestra gloves for my wife and on real cold days they were a little cold. So i got her these mittens instead. She has really enjoyed them and they have been much warmer than the original gloves i got her.

I purchased these gloves while working at ski resort in Colorado. I would not recommend these for winter skiing. Additionally you’ll want to size down. I measured twice and ordered once and still too big. There is no Primaloft insulation in these and if you don’t treat the leather as instructed they won’t last. I wore liners with them all winter and gloves are totally worn out after one season. I believe the company makes a more expensive glove with more insulation and Gorefex etc. But seriously who is going to spend $160 on mittens? Bottom line, shop around. I

Who doesn't like an awesome mitten, this is warm! One of the best features is the lanyard that attaches around your wrist! Very warm and if you want a glove to last you a couple years! Look no further! Just make sure you treat the leather, Hestra also provides you with instructions and some leather wax treatment to use so you can keep this waterproof for many years to come. Very warm and true to size!

I saw these mittens awhile back and loved how soft they felt both on the inside and out. When it was time to replace my old mittens I decided to get these! I am so glad I did. I have worn them 5 times already to go outside in the cold and snow with my two kids. Temperatures ranged from 20 degrees to a nice and warm 32 degrees in the sun and my hands stayed both dry and warm. The leash one of my favorite parts of this mitten. My previous mittens the way it was set up, the leash was still hanging out partly and could easily get caught (which it did on a ski lift and ripped off). These are great due to the comfortable eslatic band that slips over the wrist and tucks nicely in the mitten; no loose ends! Another great piece to this mitten is the velcro wrap around the wrist. This is great for keeping excess snow out of your mitten. The velcro allows for easy loosening and tightening. I will have to say though if I stood still for long periods of time with no acitvity, my hands did start to feel a chill. By long period of time I mean roughly an hour or so. As long as I was moving and playing with my kids they remained toasty warm. These are great for the regular skier, winter hiker, or overall play outside in the snow person! I would recommend these mittens for sure!

These Hestra gloves feel amazing! The inside is very soft and not bulky. There is room for hard warmers too! It's too early in the season to test them:-)

I have tried mittens from Black Diamond, OR, Dakine, Arc'teryx, you name it. These are the warmest yet for my poor circulation hands! Staying dry on the wet days and pairs well with some hand warmers. The wrist cuff is also a must for on the chairlift! When it comes time for new gloves I will grab myself another pair of these.
