Keep a Harmony Stern Flotation Bag in your kayak and make your boat easier to bail out and easier to recover in the event of a capsize. Once fully inflated and installed, this flotation bag occupies otherwise-empty hull space in your boat and thus limits the volume that water can fill when you flip over. A flotation bag is a quick and easy way to gain greater peace of mind out on the water.

I use these float bags in my creek boat and they work exactly as you would want and expect them to. Although there is not anything particularly technical about these bags in comparison to other I enjoy the thicker vinyl for its longevity. They hold air, they are durable and easy to use. What more can you ask for? Put these in your boat and when you go for a swim you and your boat will be happier trying to get it back into that eddie. Also be sure to buy in a pair so that you don't have any weird offset buoyancy issues.

Make sure to get this when you step up to some more swift whitewater so in the chance that you swim, saving your boat is significantly easier and you are much less likely to damage your kayak. This is just a single bag so remember to buy two. One will only take up half of the stern.

I have two of these kicking around. They are fantastic! When I was learning to paddle and swimming (very regularly) these made recovering and emptying my boat so much easier, this in turn meant I spent less time freezing on the bank and more time warm in a boat. Now I lend them to all and sundry makes days on the river with novices much easier.
