There are cyclists out there whose entire cycling wardrobes are dedicated to bibs, and while bibs have their time and place, we think cycling shorts hold down a special place in our kits. Thankfully, Gore Wear's designers seem to agree with us, which is why they craft the C5 Short Tights+ with the same level of materials and attention to detail as its bibs. These shorts offer lightweight fit and comfort, with breathable fabric and a snug fit that supports your muscles — all without adding extra fabric up top that simply bogs you down when the temperatures soar and you could use an extra hit of breathability wherever possible.

The seams on the panels are optimized to reduce friction zones, all but eliminating chafing and irritation that is often nagging with other shorts. The hem is designed to be seamless as well allowing it to lie flat against your legs keeping them firmly in place. A comfortable waistband is essential on shorts without bibs to keep them in place without cutting you into two. In this application, Gore places elastic in the back to secure the band but skips the elastic on the front for maximum comfort. A pair of shorts is only as good as their chamois and Gore adds the Advanced Road insert to keep your sensitive bits happy during the duration of the ride. It offers just the right amount of cushioning and minimizes pressure with multiple densities so you're protected without unnecessary bulk.

Ordered the small but seemed like a kids small. I could not even begin to get on (I'm 5' 7" and 123 lbs). Not sure a medium would even fit.

Okay for 20-25 mile ride. I think these shorts would be a better spin class short. I bought these on sale. They fit well but do not feel like a $100 dollar pair of shorts.
