When we start coming home with numb toes at the end of a ride, we know, deep down, it's time to break out the shoe covers. Somehow, most of us procrastinate for longer than we need to though, and for no good reason. Eventually, a wet, raw day rolls around at the end of fall and we're left scrambling for shoe covers we should've dug out weeks ago, burning daylight as we come up empty-handed. Hopefully you've advanced beyond our cognitive capabilities, but let us still strongly encourage you to stock up on the Giro Blaze Shoe Cover before it's too late. This aerodynamic shoe cover is made out of breathable Lycra fabric, complete with a water-resistant treatment to shield your toes from mud and wheelspray on wet rides without costing you watts. Rain or shine, you'll pedal harder when you can actually feel your toes.

These are not very useful shoe covers. They are no water resistant nor do they provide any wind blocking capabilities. I treated these with some water proof wax and now they are bomb-proof for all my Seattle rides but not insulating in the least. Look elsewhere if you need a warmer pair of covers. I wear a 43 EU shoe size and bought the Large. The fit is great and the pull handle on the rear of the cover is helpful. These are priced very low so you get what you pay for. I do like how subtle the logos are unlike most shoe covers. Material is a bit stretchy too which is nice.
