Transitioning into or out of shoulder season rides can often bring fickle weather but with jerseys like the AV Versa Short-Sleeve Jersey from Giordana, it can help make the transition easier. Often a favorite worn by the pros on Astana and Mitchelton-Scott during the classics and while training, the AV Versa Short Sleeve Jersey is a super lightweight top with some wind blocking protection up front to keep your core warm. Pair it with a baselayer and some arm warmers and you'll be ready for a wide variety of conditions.

The lightweight, tightly woven exterior fabric helps to block wind and precipitation while providing a durable rip proof surface and allows you to take this short sleeve jersey into conditions that usually warrant longer sleeves or more layers. That lightweight thermal fabric is bonded to an eVent DV Stretch membrane keeping your core comfortably warm without impeding your range of motion on the bike and the entire jersey receives a DWR treatment preventing it from soaking out causing a chilling effect.

Up front, a wind resistant zipper keeps drafts and chills from sneaking through and getting you cold while the microfiber fleece inside the collar keeps your neck and throat cozy. The arms are slightly longer and the openings receive thermo bonded cuffs to hold them in place without excessive constraint. On the back, the three pockets are reinforced with gussets to prevent sagging and they get drainage holes keeping rain from pooling up inside. On their tops they get a lip, keeping items in over rough roads. Below the pockets is a Pixel reflective tail that works in conjunction with the reflective details on the drive side armband for increased visibility.

Well built product that has a diverse range of temperature use depending on base layers. Paired with arm warmers and a wind breaker this jersey can be used from sunny and 50’s down in the damp 30’s. The stretchy fabric blocks wind and transports sweat quickly. A versatile piece to add to the quiver!

Great piece of fall/ spring clothing, very warm, with very thick fabrics. With that thick fabrics, you lose elasticity in the fabric which meant that it fit very tight and did not give much. I wear a large in most every Giordana jersey, however, this i would have to size up, and it is still pretty tight.

Like some others have mentioned, I wasn't on board with the concept of this jersey from the outset, but after actually trying it, I can see its merits. If you've ever been out on a cold ride and felt that gross hot steamy feeling while putting out a decent effort, this jersey is the antidote for that. The materials are top notch and its worth noting that the stretch is not the same as a "normal" jersey, nor was it intended to be. I generally wear an XL in Giordana jerseys (FRC, Silverline) because the upper body in those tends to stretch nicely. Since that's not the case with this jersey, it's too tight on my upper back, chest, and biceps. I'm 6'3", 205 lbs, with a 45" chest and 35" waist. So in short, listen to the size chart as opposed to going with what you usually wear in Giordana or comparably-fitting brands. Under "size purchased" I entered XXL because I imagine a lot of people will see that without the context of this written description and assume I got the right size.

I was prepared to file this one under overkill, a short sleeve heavy rain jersey? I finally got a chance to use it and it's legit. I wouldn't classify under cold weather because your forearms are exposed. I would say used with some embro cream you're good down to 50, and up to low 60's. The rain proofing is unique, it's actually a waterproof jersey, totally usable fall and spring, also if you plan on doing a real rain ride in the summer. It's not as stretchy as a regular jersey ls or ss so fit has to be right. I am 5'7" 132 lbs and the S fit well, a little tight on biceps again due to the material not as flexible. It's been relisted from the overkill, I'll wear it twice in my life bin to a hangar with the stuff I will use.

If you're like me, you can go out in the dead of winter with little more than a t-shirt and be just fine. I run quite hot in aerobic activities, so thick winter jackets are reserved for all but the worst of days. Giordana has provided us quite the jack-of-all trades for mixed-condition riding. Is it a jacket? Is it a jersey? Yes. I am perfectly comfortable spinning up the climbs with no warmers - the circulation of warm blood from my core is enough to keep my extremities functioning. Keep your sleeves stashed in the spacious pockets for the descent. Don't bother with temperature ranges as the AV Versa will carry you through a variety of scenarios. I'm a medium in most Giordana wear and the medium fit me well with a light baselayer underneath.

This Jersey has made an excellent addition to my cycling wardrobe. It is the perfect option for those chilly mornings before the fog burns of. The exterior is a tough dwr treated shell that blocks out wind and moisture. The interior has a soft fleece lining to keep you warm while the side panels provide a stretchy breathable release for built up body heat. Pair it with some arm warmers and a sleeveless base layer for the colder mornings and you are good to go. The reflective trail and sleeve highlights really stand out to cars headlights as well!!Giordana gives you great Italian design with a more American sizing so the large did me as it should.

Where to start? How bout we just dive in with how awesome this piece is! Light weight, breathable, warm, and water resistant are just a few things to say. Great for those chilly mornings, but regulates temps well so you still feel comfortable in the afternoon when it warms up. The eVent stretch material has a very nice feel to it, and with it having a DWR coating, it's great at blocking out the weather/elements to keep you riding longer. The fit is true to size with the rest of Giordana. The drop tail is quite long to block out that spray from the tires, which is a very welcome feature. Plenty of pockets for goodies, and there is an internal layer of material to help keep things secure. Nice to know your phone and snacks are safe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a do it all piece in all types of elements.

As short -sleeve jerseys go, there is nothing more robust on the market. I have found that this is a great option for keeping the wind out. Especially on days with a chance of rain. The combination of insulation, water repellency, and wind-proofing make it a perfect option for Fall and Spring. You can use a base layer with this, but I like to bring arm warmers and take them off as the morning warms up. The quality is everything you would expect in this price point-- Giordana does not disappoint!

See if this sounds familiar: you leave the house freezing. The jersey and arm warmers just aren't quite warm enough. You're cold too the core, but you know that you'll be climbing a canyon/doing intervals, and if you bundle up too much, you're going to burn up during your effort, get all sweaty, and freeze on the way home; hence the armwarmer/jersey combo. Giordana's proposed solution to the aforementioned quandary is their short-sleeve AV100 jacket. Paired with arm warmers, I've worn it down to 40 degrees comfortably, but when the sun rises farther, or the road points up, the ability to loose your lower arm coverage is wonderful. I'd also imagine that it would serve as an excellent base layer under a heavy jacket for a really cold day. Sizing is consistent with the rest of Giordana's line. This piece of clothing is fantastic on the fall days when you just don't know what to wear. You will find with this piece of clothing it has been something you were missing that you didn't even know was missing. Spectacular piece of clothing. It keeps you warm without over heating. It pairs well with just a simple baselayer. Great for those early morning rides, and as it heats up it will breath well so you do not over heat.

Just picked this up yesterday and went for a canyon ride. Started in the low 60's with a light sprinkle and returned around 57 degrees. This Jersey was amazingly comfortable. Not too hot, not too cool. With a base layer and arm warmers, this Jersey would be right at home in the 50-60 degree range. The sleeves are a bit thinner than the body, so this Jersey keeps warmth where it should be without causing overheating. Fit is quite good. Drops extra low in the back to keep you protected from road spray, doesn't flap in the wind but isn't restrictive. Runs slightly roomier than castelli, but I don't feel like it is a full size difference. I run an XL in Castelli and sometimes feel like that is still just a little bit small. XL in this Giordana AV Versa Jersey is just right.

This jersey is amazing, pair it with a Giordana ceramic base layer and you are ready for almost everything from sunny to light rain, from the low 40s to low 60s. I went bold and bought the red jersey. It was a great choice, it looks great and you may get a couple compliments. I wore it on a canyon ride recently and it performed flawlessly, keeping me comfortable on the climb and descent. The zipper is great for use with gloves and allows you to close up and vent when needed. The pocket and great in the back and the eVent fabric breathes very well. The fit is comfortable but still race oriented. I really like this piece and know you will too! Please ask me any questions.
