When sprightly pastels and earthy soil tones just aren't your jam, reach for the everlasting Fjallraven Kanken No.2 Laptop 15in Black Bacpack to carry you through the splashes of color on your daily grind. Ideal for jaunts around town, school, or work, the Kanken boasts a muted silhouette that's equally at home in San Francisco as it is in New York City.

More specifically, this classically styled backpack features Fjallraven's infamously tough G-1000 fabric that withstands the jarring forces of concrete and tree branches alike, while the wax coating ensures protection from light precipitation. Additionally, the Kanken No.2 is constructed with a bevvy of pockets to keep you well-organized no matter where you're headed, and the internal rear pocket features an integrated seat pad for those impromptu chill sessions in the park or on a hillside. And, new to the Kanken No.2 is the designated laptop sleeve that's equipped to fit a 15-inch laptop, so you never have to be without your choice in technology.

I travel quite a bit, and this bag is great as a carryon. I appreciate that it has multiple pockets so that I have easy access to my wallet and passport as I go through the airport.

This backpack is very alluring, according to my daughter. She is in love with the backpack even though I find it quite bijou but the inside is larger than what I expected. Overall, I have no complain about this backpack.

After getting caught in a flash rain/hail storm (I guess it's my choice to live in Chicago), I have been searching for a weather-resistant, functional commuter bag that can hold my laptop, lunch, workout clothes, water bottle/travel mug, etc. Figured a Fjallraven would be a great option that would hit all those points, which it pretty much did, but decided to return because the side pockets are ridiculously small and there are no smaller pockets inside the bag to hold loose items (besides the laptop and seat pad pocket). The side pockets barely fit my Contigo travel mug, and definitely would not have fit my Yeti tumbler. However, I loved that the laptop pocket was separate from the rest of the bag and well-cushioned for protection. I do think the Fjallraven would have served me well, but just didn't love it enough for $140+
