Ordered these online with a touch of nervousness as I saw more narrow foot reviews. My feet are a little wider and fit a true 8.5, but these shoes fit like a glove! Adaptable, comfortable. No blisters and great pedal stick for mountain biking. 10/10 would recommend. Also have survived through mud, rocks, etc no issues

I had another pair of five ten which did well, lasted several years but I always had foot pain (sharp pain in heel for few days) after wearing them, tried a different style and they did not fit well. Returned them and tried a different brand which Im very happy with.

The shoes are perfect. Run true to size, are very comfortable and feel like they are glued onto my flat pedals

I have been a long term 5.10 user. I love my old 5.10 shoes, which fit to size and finally died. I love my Adidas soccer shoes and they fit to size. But, unfortunately, since Adidas-outdoor has taken over 5.10 shoes, they just don't fit the same. I find them about a 1/4 size too large, such that they now feel sloppy in a size 10. In my hunt for a "new" 5.10 (Freerider pro) shoe, I tried a size 8.5 mens (too large), then a size 8.0 mens (too small), then the women's size 10 (too large) and I am not going to try a women's size 9.5 because the women's 10/men's 8.5 were very comparable. Finally, I find the sole does not feel rigid enough for me, now, and I'm not sure if that's because of size or because of a change in manufacture process. Either way, I am not going to stick around to find out and I am going to explore other brands and/or hunt for some old 5.10s still kicking around in my size. Possibly these new-5.10s would be adequate for the job if they fit?? Possibly not because if the sole is not as rigid as before? Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Grippy, comfy and true to size. The pro's fit my slightly narrow feet better than the canvas version.

These have been my all time favorite mountain biking shoes and I have been riding and racing for 8 years now. They have always lasted me over a year (riding avidly) and were very responsive and comfortable on the pedals. Sadly, this time when I ordered the SAME pair and the SAME size as I always have the shoes were way too big. I've had many girlfriend shredders that claim the same phenomenon. What happened 5Ten? I cannot afford this pricey shoe and the lack of free shipping on BC to be able to keep trying sizes (local bike shops don't typically stock this shoe, even in Santa Cruz, CA). In addition, the top layer and inside of the shoe's fabric doesn't feel the same, feels more like a thin plastic. Seems like a different shoe to me. I'll be trying out a different brand now! Not worth the price anymore for me.

I come from wearing skate shoes and this is my first pair of Mtn Bike shoes. They feel like skate shoes, but not as bulky, and a little stiffer with more toe protection. I haven't got to really ride hard in them yet, but I'm sure I will love them! I just wish the laces didn't hang out, or had a Velcro strap to keep them in place. I've just been tucking them into the shoes and that has been working fine.

Love these shoes. They fit great and the grip is outstanding. Highly recommend them. They do run a little big so I had to size down to an 8 when I normally wear an 8.5 or 9.

I bought these for my gf for her birthday and she loves them. Super grippy and way lighter than a lot of the older Five Ten options. No complaints.

These shoes are a game-changer. I'm sorry I didn't buy them sooner. They grip my pedals and make peddling uphill so much easier and efficient. I'll never hop on my bike without them again. If you are in between sizes, go up. I'm usually an 8 or 8.5, and went with the 8.5 here because the 8's fit more like a 7.5

Love these bike shoes! These are great for mountain biking, the grippy bottom is fantastic and makes a big difference while riding.

This is my third pair of Five Tens and as usual they are everything advertised and more. The Pros are slightly lighter than the Contacts and a little stiffer. Fit in the forefoot is a touch narrower but I was able to get my orthotics inside and still have enough room.

I got these for my GF and she loves how grippy they are and the fit. She was coming from a pair of sneakers. These were a huge upgrade and she couldn't believe she didn't buy a pair of bike specific shoes sooner.

I got these for a friend as a gift and this is what she has to say: These shoes are very stable and also comfortable. They grip my pedals will for climbing and provide a stable platform on the downhill. They fit true to size but are slightly wider than a regular tennis shoe. I am pleased with my purchase!

Upgraded from the Freerider Canvas (which I already loved), and love the quick drying and easier dirt shedding outer vs the canvas. I usually wear a 9.5 and went with the 9.5 here, too. They seem to have a touch more arch suport than my Freerider Canvas, though it's possible that will break in, so I will update after more rides. And I love that they are available in light grey (vs black or darker colors) because I live in the desert and black is too hot!

I researched A LOT of womens flat pedal shoes before purchasing these. First ride today was great with these. Didn't slip off at all. I love the stiffness of these because it transfers the power to the pedal very nicely. They look good too which is always a plus. It was a cool fall day (45-50 degrees) and my feet stayed comfortable. I am a little concerned about breathability in warmer temps, but won't know until next year. I initially went with the 9 b/c other reviews say these run small and narrow. I have normal width feet (narrow by no means) and the 9 was too big. I usually wear an 8 if I am in flat/sandles but go to 8.5 in athletic shoes so I don't hit my toes. The 8.5 worked perfect for me.

These shoes changed my MTB game! They are light weight yet supportive, aesthetically pleasing, and affordable. Most importantly they have provide me with confidence on my bike I've never had before. Thank you 510 and backcountry!

These shoes are an awesome upgrade from the regular Freeriders I had been wearing out on the trails. They feel more lightweight on my feet, and I like the synthetic outer material as it doesn't get as soaked when crossing water runoffs. I also think these shoes look more flattering than the regular Freeriders, and I dont mind having to rock them for the apres ride beverage spot (a.k.a. the bar). I've been wearing these for almost two months and am very satisfied with them!
