If you're looking for a distinguished everyday carry the Dryden should be on your short list. After being a decades-long devotee of the classic Timbuk2 messenger their declining quality forced me to look elsewhere. Filson's reputation made taking the chance relatively stress free. I was immediately impressed with the level of finish. Zippers are heavy duty and the leather details feel luxurious. Interior space accommodates a 15" MBP plus my other daily essentials. It's not quite as bike commute optimized as something from Chrome or Mission Workshop, but it should do fine for short rides.
