I have been looking for the perfect bag for work. I needed a change from my old one. I do not work in a more casual environment and this bag fits the bill. It is roomy, although I wish it was a little wider. The material is great and the leather is outstanding. I wasn't sure I was going to like the strap but I really find it comfortable and do not have plans to purchase the leather option. Although, it would have been nice if it came with both or the option to add the leather. I mean the leather strap is $80 and that seems a little steep after spending this much for a bag.

Bought this for my husband. He had been using the same Timbuk2 messenger bag forever, and it was a great bag, he just needed something a little more professional looking. He loves this bag. He says the quality is great and it's big enough to pack an extra set of clothes for quick work trips.

I gave this as a gift to my father. He's been wanting a Filson briefcase for quite a while now. He's had it for a few weeks now and loves it. The pockets a perfectly placed and the construction is bomber, which you would expect from Filson. He uses it as his day to day briefcase for work and weekends, and says it's only getting better with use. It fit his 15 inch laptop perfectly. Highly recommend this durable, good looking briefcase.

This has been my daily bag for the last two years, and it's perfect. As a freelance architect, I carry my life in this bag which includes laptop, charger, mouse, camera, tape measure, business cards, pens, sketch book, notebook and mid-size headphones. On a busy day I may add an extra couple books or even a folded up sweater. Though the bag can look pretty bloated at that point, everything still fits. The material and construction are impressive. Space is ample, yet not excessive. You can carry a couple notebooks without feeling like your bag is too large for the contents. It's very versatile. For that reason, I've considered buying another in a different color because I simply can't find a better bag for work. If you can utilize the versatility and like the idea of a bag that can carry a little or a lot, this bag is a good choice. If your familiar with filson, you know what to expect in quality. If You don't carry much try the basic briefcase, as this bag has the best aesthetic when 60-70% full.

This is good bag... I saw a friend use it and thought it will be a good one for me, but ended up returning it as the navy color was not my thing. The appealing factor in this bag is it compact size and ample pockets to keep everything organized. for someone looking for a shoulder laptop bag, i would highly recommend it.
