Edelrid equipped the HMS Bulletproof Triple FG Locking Carabiner with a steel insert where climbing ropes wear when you're belaying. There's also a spring bar that keeps the carabiner properly oriented on your harness when you're belaying to prevent the device from cross-loading. The triple locking gate locks automatically for extra security.

The steel insert makes belaying and rappel as smooth as butter, it really does keep the aluminum dust out of your rope. The triple lock is VERY secure. Since I got this biner I've been getting many compliments on how amazing and smooth my belay is, use with the jul for maximum effect.

The HMS Bulletproof FG Triple is great for keeping your biner from rotating while using it with an ATC for belaying. Clip the retainer to your belay loop to keep it from cross loading. There is a steel insert which extends the life of your biner. It also comes in a screwlock lock version.
