These, and the crewneck models, are my "go to" shirts for climbing. They magically keep you cool when it's hot and somewhat warm when it's cool. A very nice base layer under something like a Patagonia Nano-puff or North Face Thermoball. They run large, so I downsize by 1 size, to a Large from an XL.

The large is a bit baggy for my taste, but i love it regardless. It is super light and comfortable and i can't wait to get it on the river!

Got this sun hoodie to paint a mural in the middle of August and I was not disappointed. On the one hand, I didn't have to worry about sunscreen, but the better benefit was the slightly cooling effect it had. Don't get me wrong, it was still hot, but I was no worse in this long sleeve than I was in a t-shirt. Great to pull the hood up to keep my neck protected too. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, it does run on the large side.

Great shirt to keep the sun off when hiking, cutting the grass, out on the water, etc. Comfortable fabric and hood is a nice option to keep your neck & ears from roasting. Would recommend ordering a size down from your normal size.

I've been using this shirt on days when the sun is intense and the temps aren't too extreme. I like the material and the overall weight. Great layer for the beach or boat. Runs large, size down.

This shirt is a great fit and feel. I would say just a tad on the large side but not by much. Material feels good on and has held up well.

I bought this shirt to keep the sun off while paddling, hiking and enjoying the outdoors in general. I really don't like constantly slathering myself with sun lotion which feels sticky and gross, affects my grip and on top of that can damage my fishing gear. At first I was doubtful that the Charcoal color would keep me cool enough but am happy to report that the fabric doesn't heat up in the sun as much as I expected. The sizing runs a bit large but the result is a breezy comfortable fit. I reach for this shirt pretty much any time I am going to be active out in the sun for any length of time.

My boyfriend got this for a trip to Mexico. He loves how soft it is and keeps him cool and dry in the hot sun. Runs pretty true to size but it does have a longer looser fit.

This light weight hoodie is a great piece to add to the fishing/hiking gear. The material is light an breathable and has a good stretch to it. The hood is loose and seems like it will do a great job of keeping the sun off my head and neck without causing me to over heat. It fits me well in a size large and I can slip it on over another shirt without it feeling too tight. If I was looking to layer a bit more than a T-shirt under it I would probably go with an XL. The sleeves are a perfect length and I can pull them up and they stay snug on my upper forearm which will be great when dipping my hands in the stream to retrieve a fish.

I surprisingly love this shirt. I generally only wear button up shirts so I was a little skeptical picking this up but I'm sure glad I did. Great for fishing on hot days. The fabric is super lightweight and comfortable. The long sleeves and hood do a great job of keeping the sun off while not making you over heat. If I had any criticism of this shirt, it would be the length. It definitely runs a little on the long side for me but that is only a small issue that I can definitely overlook.
