I'm tall and have been searching for a rashguard with mockneck, full zip, and truly long sleeves for my truly long arms... and this is perfect! It meets all my must-haves AND has pockets AND is super flattering. I get compliments every time I wear it. The full zip means it can double as a very packable, lightweight jacket for lots of situations. I'm so in love. :)

I got the medium but the small may also have worked as I wanted it for a rashguard more than a sunshirt. Love the pattern and the full zip front. It is light weight material and dries fast, great beach wear.

Have the Black Plume. Great color, feathers camouflage what are delicately referred to as "figure imperfections." Love the zipper pockets. Have used it as a jacket for business casual as well as in the water. Good for warm weather as it isn't warm.

The material is soft and silky. So far I haven't used it in the water, but as a jacket for biking, outside layer at night or at the movies. The jacket provides a surprising level of warmth considering its weight. Packs easily and wrinkle free.

So, my photo doesn't do this rash guard justice. It's very pretty and I have ended up using it as light jacket and cover up, more than i ever would have expected. The design is just so cheery and beautiful, I want to wear it all the time! It definitely helps on cold days, kayaking. I haven't taken it surfing, but if you size right, I don't think the zipper would be a pain. The ease for getting it on and off, is definitely a good trade off. It also was good when I wanted to take a break from the sun, on my skin. As long as I kept it wet, I was very comfortable. Like all my other Carve Reviews, this product is perfect. But, I didn't trust the size chart. They definitely run bigger than other brands. I'm typically in medium in everything. But, they run about a full size up. So, the small would have fit much better in my waist and arms.
