Sometimes it can be hard to leave the lodge when you're setting out for adventures in frosty weather, but with the Canada Goose Lodge Down Hooded Jacket you'll have all the warmth of a roaring fire with you as you travel through cold and snowy mountains. The warm 750-fill down insulation wraps your upper body in comfortable warmth, while the durable and water-resistant ripstop fabric works to shed lighter snow and withstand the wear and tear of alpine adventures. Thanks to its slim-fitting design this jacket layers easily over your favorite ski or alpine shell, and with a new matte finish that cuts back on the shiny, technical look of previous versions, it's more than capable of being your jacket for everyday occasions as well. An insulated hood keeps your head snug and warm on late-fall hikes and climbs, and the Power Stretch cuffs and adjustable hem provide a comfortable way to keep your warmth sealed inside. Plus, this jacket stuffs into its own inner pocket for maximum convenience and packability on extended travels and day-long missions.

I just received this jacket in size M and color black. This is the new model 5078m. So did anyone who purchase this jacket came in a Canada goose box? Mine came inside a Canada goose plastic wrapper. Also is the Canada goose patch on the left arm supposed to be centered or is it supposed to lean more towards the front. Mine is more towards the front. And lastly, does anyone else have a tag labeled 180/100Y under the size tag with in my case is M/M. Thank you.

Great purchase. Only need to buy one of these in your lifetime. Insanely warm and comfortable. Also, very very light and the whole thing condenses to a camping pillow if all else ever fails haha. Overall, highly recommend this jacket. Looks much better on yourself than the model in the picture lol, it looks short on the model.

This jacket is by far the most comfortable and functional jacket I have owned. The size fits perfect in every way and is true to size. The color of the jacket looks great and the finish/stitching is consistently high quality throughout. Incredible functionality that keeps you warm, but not too warm at the same time. Would highly recommend.

I got one for myself first and when some of my family tried it on they went nuts on how nice it was in warmth and comfort and so I had to get a few more.

I'm not gonna lie I was a little skeptical at first as to whether or not it would be worth the price tag. It is probably the comfiest down jacket that I have ever worn. The way it packs into a pocket is super functional and very similar to other jackets in the same price range. Excited to see how it holds up.

Nice mid-layer, and good quality but item is not meant for heavy outdoors. I was getting out of my car the first day wearing it and the fabric on the sleeve tore. Kind of disappointed, but Backcountry took good care of me and got me a replacement.

Outstanding construction, well insulated and very comfortable. Be aware that this is a more modern cut so if you are tall it may be short in the body

1. Wind proofing is excellent 2. Water proofing is excellent 3. Downfill is adequate and not excessive Compared to: 1. Chilliwack - this is MUCH lighter, MORE breathable but LONGER in length (since there's no elastic fabric on the waist) 2. Hybridge jacket - WARMER, slightly loose, LONGER I live Toronto,ON Canada where the winters are harsh and the weather can be unpredictable (just today it snowed followed by freezing rain hours later). I have used this jacket in milder temps (up to 10c/50f) and harsh temps as low as -20c or -4f and found the jacket to be versatile. Suffice to say it'll protect you from varying elements. Lots of pockets which is a plus. Packability is also a plus. Now for the cons: 1. It's not really slim cut. I'm 5'7, 150lbs and the Small is still a bit roomy. BACKCOUNTRY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE carry sizes up to XS (I saw that the CanadaGoose website carries up to XXS). 2. I wore a Black polo shirt today and saw some small feathers that stuck on my shirt. They're tiny feathers but it's a sign that there's some leaking happening. I think I may have to send it back if this still continues until March (It's January at the moment when the weather is harsh). This is not a con (yet) but the fabric appears to be very thin. I believe if you get caught on a surface with rough edges the fabric will rip. Only time will tell (hopefully not). I personally have not adjusted the hood and the waist elastic to conform to my body so I cannot comment on the adjustability. I got this in Red and yes it does attract attention. Reason for 4 stars: the fit. If it were a TRUE slim fit I would've given is 5 stars. This is true to size in my opinion.

If you're looking for a warm, yet not overly bulky down jacket, you can't beat the Lodge Jacket from Canada Goose. I read the reviews and hesitated to buy the version with the hood b/c a previous reviewer mentioned how large it was, but I took a shot anyhow. The hood is massive, there really isn't a way to utilize it without it covering most of your face (unless you have a ski helmet on). Not sure why they don't make it detachable, but I ordered the non-hooded version and am super happy with the jacket. I'll just wear a hat.

I thought I had found the perfect winter coat. I even exchanged the unhooded version of this coat for this one. However, when I tried to wear it to a football game (where the hood would have really helped), the hood was so big that it restricted my view of the game. I mean it's huge! If you need this level of facial protection because of the harsh nature of the climate you're in, this is good option. For "normal" winters in the mid-west, it's overkill. So, I returned it, and got the Lodge Jacket without the hood. Now, I'm a happy man!

Fantastic. A lightweight, puffy, Hutterite duck down filled hooded jacket. It's obvious Canada Goose really planned the design and worked out each detail in full. Things like a felt chin area. Zipper garages. Soft stretchy cuffs. Down filled waistband. A great hood seamlessly integrated with the jacket. Banded quilting to eliminate down movement. And just looking at how well made it is, you feel it's worth it especially since it's Fabrique Au Canada and filled with Canadian Hutterite fancy down (Hutterites = a religious group similar to say Amish). With its 2-layer windproof DWR shell, and sliding this puppy on is pure luxury. If you need a lightweight down jacket which is uber-warm and can still fit under your gore-tex shell if need be and packs in your backpack and doubles as a pillow, this is a great option. For sizing, I'm 6' and 190-200 and an XL fits perfectly.

I can't say enough of this beauitful jacket. I was doubtful when it first arrived, that it was sooo thin, buy didn't let that cloud my judgement. When it is time, I will never buy another winter jacket from anyplace else. It is the best jacket I have ever had. debbie
