I bought a couple of these twist lock beaners specifically to keep then attached to my snow pickets, they are big and easy to use in snow & cold conditions, and with gloves on. The gate opens plenty wide and its easy to tie in a second anchor or deadman, and create a master point. I've also ended up using them for top rope anchors too and they work great for that as well.
