These new Podium Ice bottles are too stiff and difficult to squeeze, unlike the previous versions. Usually, when my bottles get this stiff, I recycle them. Right off the bat, this was too stiff. Find the previous year's design and buy that one. We have been using those Podium Ice bottles for a couple years and they are still flexible.

Referred by an equally (to me) enthusiastic Camelbak Podium Big Chill user, he recommended his Podium Ice bottles which he claimed kept cooler-longer and had a better valve solution (Big Chill's tough to keep clean design). Here's my take; the valves is better design but is a tough flow–a lot of pressure required to achieve the same volume of flow as BC's. The outer "shell" is slipperier than an already slippery BC. The insulating comparison yields the EXACT same performance. Therefore, save your $25 and buy the BC for $7.50
