I love these poles for skiing so I can adjust for East Coast bumps to West Coast steeps. The only reason I gave four stars is because they don't come with powder baskets so I just went to EMS and paid $5 for BD powder baskets.

My fiance has been using these for about a year and a half now for hiking and backpacking and they are performing great for her. The flick lock mechanism makes for easy and convenient adjustments on the go. They are relatively lightweight, have a comfortable grip, and nice strap. That's about all I look for in a trekking pole.
